Before pet sitting, it’s important to understand the pet’s daily routine, including feeding times, walk schedules, and play habits. Knowing their medical needs is also crucial, whether they take any medications or have allergies. Just as important is being aware of their behavior and temperament; some pets may be shy around strangers or scared of loud noises. Lastly, it helps to know any house rules, like whether the pet is allowed on furniture or needs to stay in certain rooms.
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy and active! Depending on the pet’s personality and energy level, I’d enjoy playing fetch, going on walks, exploring the backyard, or using interactive toys to keep them mentally stimulated. I’m also happy to just cuddle and relax with them if that’s more their speed. Every pet is unique, so I always try to tailor the fun to what they enjoy most!

Pet care experience
I’ve always had dogs and cats to care for growing up. Many times family and friends have relied on me to take care of their animals when they leave for vacation. I have looked after dogs from the size of a terrier to a great dane. I have years of experience caring for numerous breeds of dogs and cats but I have had the most experience with American and English bulldogs and I know how to care for them especially during the hot summer!

Jenna did a great job at our first meet / drop in and was so calm with our shy cats. She was able to help with our older cat’s oral meds and we will definitely hire her again!
