Hi! Jenna here. I’m a dog trainer and owner of Calmpanion Dog Training, offering private training sessions, dogsitting, walks and drop-in’s. I have 18+ years of canine experience with all ages and sizes - Dachshunds, Pitties, German Shepherds, Shih Tzus, Labs, Hounds, Pugs, Spaniels, Goldendoodles, canines of unknown origin, you name it! I’ve also been providing cat care in a professional capacity for 4+ years. ____________ What Sets Me Apart: - dog trainer with a focus on dog behavior. - extensive experience with special needs and senior dogs who are blind, deaf, paralyzed, have difficulty getting around, require oral medications, etc. - comfortable and experienced with a variety of diets so whether your dog or cat eats kibble, raw, lightly cooked, fresh food or a little of everything - I can accommodate any and all of the above. _____________ We’d be a good fit if: - you have an anxious/shy/reactive dog (rescue pup or otherwise) that requires an experienced and calming caretaker who can pick up on the nuances of dog body language and understands that less is more. - your dog is in need of behavior modification and you’d like to start taking positive steps towards having a calm, confident, fulfilled dog and are curious about care that includes training. - you are already working with a trainer and are looking for someone who will provide the leadership and structure for your dog in your absence (because ain’t nobody want their dog sliding back into bad habits after working so hard to improve). - you and your pup are already living your best lives and aren’t in need of training but you’re looking for an awesome buddy to hang out with them while you’re away. ____________

Safety, trust & environment
Having a dog of my own, I know how hard it is to leave your pup with someone else while you're away. Trusting someone can be hard and quite frankly, anxiety-inducing. I will send photos/videos a few times a day to help ease your mind. If you would prefer more or fewer check-ins, no problem! Just let me know. Always feel free to check in and ask how it’s going. I make a point to respond quickly so you’ll hear back from me within a few minutes. Please reach out if you’re interested in setting up a complimentary meet-and-greet.

Jenna has been fantastic to work with. She's great with our pups and is 100% reliable and trustworthy. It's such a relief that we met Jenna and now have someone we trust to house sit and watch our pups. We've also been doing training sessions with Jenna. She has been guiding us through crate training our newer pup.
Jenna is always very patient with Nico and very detailed in the notes/updates that she leaves for us. She's very knowledgeable in dog behavior and takes great care of Nico whenever she visits. Thank you!

This was our second time boarding for a week or more with Jenna, and we feel so fortunate to have connected with her. Our pup is very happy in every photo we receive while away. Our pup is super content when we get home, and it's very clear that Jenna is her favorite dog sitter. Jenna typically stays in our home when dog-sitting and is the tidiest, most conscientious guest. Jenna did a great job taking care of our dog Nico and sent plenty of pictures along with a detailed rover card. Nico has reactivity and can be anxious around others, but Jenna was able to make him feel comfortable.

Schedule
I prioritize accommodating your pet's needs to keep to their daily routine. I am self employed with a flexible schedule. During our meet & greet, you may notice that I present myself a bit differently from other sitters - I won’t come into the home with high energy or excitement and will not immediately approach your dog or make eye contact with them, instead focusing on you while we chat and let your dog come to me. This is done intentionally in order to make your dog feel comfortable and encourage calmness but make no mistake, I’m excited to be there!
