I recently quit my other part time job and am looking to make this my consistent job. I have two mini dachshunds of my own (6 years and 3 years), and my husband works part time so I could stay all day during the week for house sitting on occasion, but I cannot promise that for longer jobs I would be able to. Just ask me and I will see if I can make that work! I am pretty flexible as I have somewhat of an open schedule at the moment.

We utilize positive training for our two dogs and they sleep in their kennels at night but are out during the day. They ring a bell to go outside to go potty, and we walk them and play with them almost daily. One of my dogs has chronic health issues so our dogs have a really strict diet. They are socialized with people and other dogs. I can walk dogs, play with them, assist with some training if needed, provide medication if needed, feed them, and can be flexible with following your dogs routine.

I will most likely ask these questions during the meet and greet, but I like to know if the dog has any allergies like outdoor plants, bee stings, food, etc., any medical/medication needs, what queues/commands they’re used to so I can use language they are familiar with, any specific routines or rituals for feeding, morning, and night, potty breaks, etc., and about their behavior/temperament so I know how to best interact with them and make sure they are well cared for. If the booked service is walking the dog, I like to know if there is a certain route you’d prefer I take, and what their routine is when preparing for and finishing a walk. Knowing where the leash and poop bags are kept is helpful, and if treats are used before, during, or after a walk.
A typical day
I am very intentional with my interactions, energy, and communication with each dog I care for. I enjoy playing with them, maybe with their favorite toys, providing affection, and giving them the love and experiences they deserve to have. Dogs are innocent, gifts, and members of our family, so they deserve the best possible care and attention we can give them. After-all, they bring us so much joy! My husband and I for example like to take our dogs to the dog park, on walks, on vacation with us, and to the beach. They also enjoy when we play with them inside and outside. Also plenty of cuddle time is given!

**please do not submit a request unless your profile is fully filled out. Thank you!** I have loved and had dogs my whole life, and have a hobby of learning about dog training and behavior. I love all animals too, but I have never owned cats because I am allergic, so I typically do not do cat care. *However* if you are requesting for your dogs but also have a cat, please let me know ahead of time and we can talk about it if they are needing care, as there would be an additional care fee. (Cats that are independent and don’t need care are just fine and in that case there would be no additional care fee, just please let me know so I can take my allergy medication.) I have experience with dogs of all ages and my oldest dog and my mom’s dog had health issues, so I am experienced with that as well. I volunteer Thursday mornings, but may be available if circumstances are right, willing to discuss.

Tommy was very happy and comfortable with her! Wonderful picture and video updates! He was very well taken care of, and I was so happy to have him stay with her comfortably at home!
Jenna was an absolute gem. Over the course of our stay, Moose started to get sick and she jumped right into action to make sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. She was also really communicative about his health, and well-being. Her previous experience with dog stomach issues was really beneficial, and she nursed him through the stay. I can’t thank her enough for everything.
