I am currently on summer break from university. I have some odd shifts at a bar that i work at but very rare. I have one week that I cannot work- July3rd-10th. Apart from that I am available every day apart from Thursdays until September :)

When caring for pets in their own home, I do my best to stick to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’ll follow any instructions you provide regarding feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and any other specific needs your pet may have. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment, whether that’s long walks for energetic dogs, play sessions, or simply keeping them company. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, as well as cats and pets that require extra care, including administering oral medication when needed. I also understand how important it is for owners to have peace of mind, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout my stay. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved in their familiar environment while you’re away.

Before looking after your pet, I’d love to know about their usual routine, personality, likes and dislikes, and any special requirements they have. It’s really helpful to know about their feeding schedule, favourite toys or walking routes, any medical conditions or medication, and how they are around other people or animals. The more I know beforehand, the easier it is to make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and as relaxed as possible while you’re away.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor the day to their routine and personality. For dogs, that could mean long walks, playtime, games, and lots of attention. I’m more than happy to take them to lovely walking spots, whether that’s parks, countryside trails, or safe areas with water if they enjoy swimming or paddling. For cats, I’ll spend time playing with their favourite toys, giving them cuddles if they like them, or simply keeping them company. I’ll always stick to their normal feeding and care routine to help them feel settled, and I’m happy to administer medication if needed. I’ll also send regular photo updates so you know your pet is having a great time while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I have genuine love for animals which I am able to put into my veterinary science degree, nurturing my professional experience with animals. I’ve looked after dogs for friends and family for years, as well as doing paid dog and cat sitting, so I’m comfortable caring for pets with all sorts of personalities and needs. As part of my course, I was trained and assessed in animal handling, giving me experience working safely and confidently with a wide range of animals. I’ve also worked on farms, spent time in veterinary clinics, volunteered at a dog and cat rescue, and walked dogs of all sizes and breeds. I have my own Border Collie, so I’m very used to energetic dogs that need lots of exercise, attention, and mental stimulation (aka a handful!) He also has epilepsy and takes regular medication, so I’m experienced in administering oral medication and caring for pets that need a little extra support. Whether your pet is a young puppy, a senior pet, a high-energy breed, or simply loves lots of company and attention, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own! 🐾

Jenna has looked after my dog Laika a few times now and her standard of care is exceptional. She treats her like her own, offers to do training with her and keeps her entertained throughout her stay, like taking her to the park to sunbathe or even to a cafe to get a pup cup. I could not ask for more from a sitter. Laika loves her time with Jenna, even getting excited when you say her name, and I can relax without worrying about my dog because of Jenna’s amazing connection with the animals.
