How I care for client’s pets in their home is personalized to the individual animal and their needs. I would try to stick to their normal routine and schedule as closely as possible. It’s already stressful enough for your pet to be away from you! I would take special care to ensure your pet is comfortable and feels safe during my time with them.

Let me know about your dog’s quirks! What things they prefer to do or anything that’s important to know about their behavior. I’ll be able to pick up on some of their quirks as I hangout with them but letting me right away will help me and your pup build a connection faster! Of course, if they have any dietary restrictions or medications just let me know ahead of time as well!!
A typical day
I believe dogs need to be stimulated both physically and mentally. Personally with my own dog I like to teach him tricks from since he was a pup. I use positive reinforcement in forms of treats. Socialization is also so important for animals but I also know that there are some dogs who do better one on one or just with their favorite humans. No matter what, getting that energy out is a must for any pup and walks are a must!

Pet care experience
I have worked at a doggy daycare and boarding service for almost 5 years. I have experience working with various breeds, sizes and temperaments of dog. Throughout my years of professional work I’ve developed knowledge of animal behavior through supervised and organized playgroups. I’ve cared for special needs dogs as well and can administer medications and give insulin injections if needed. Apart from dogs, I’ve taken care of cats, guinea pigs, ferrets, bearded dragons, chameleons and bunnies! In my personal life, I’ve grown up with dogs since I was a kid and always took special interest in training them. My family and friends have always relied on my animal care experience when going out of town for a number of years.

Jenn was amazing! She took such wonderful care of our 7-year-old black lab Stella and our family home! She is a responsible and caring person who was attentive to our very particular and sometimes needy lab and knew just what she required to feel comfortable while we were gone which was so important to us. It was also so comforting that we knew our home was in good hands and she took care of our property and treated it like her own. We came home to a happy pup and a clean home! I worked with Jenn at a daycare and boarding facility for years. She had so much care for the pets, and would treat them as her own. She was also incredibly hardworking, and would go above and beyond to provide the best care for the animals.
