Jenifer's Lake Country Canine Camp
I started my pet business with Dog Vacay/Rover in Oct 2015. I lost two special Springer Spaniels, Ginger and Marley, and one beloved 18-year-old cat Dasher and I still miss them terribly. I've enjoyed the company of multiple pets most of my life and I am in need of a dog fix. I am an empty-nester with three adult children and I miss having someone to care for. I live in a large condo with 2 decks near a walking trail. I have lots of room and lots of time, but not sure I'm ready to adopt another pet just yet. Their loss took a toll on me. I'm used to having pets on the furniture, counters and on the bed with me. I'm used to dogs that are active and need to play but also enjoy a quieter lap dog. I walk regularly and would love a companion. Dogs love to go on my decks as I overlook a pond and a lake and have lots of birds to watch. I look forward to caring for your dog and I know my children would also be thrilled to have pets in my home again when they visit. I am semi-retired and work part-time. While I will usually be home with your pet, I would appreciate the flexibility of being able to leave sometimes for a few hours to run errands or meetup with friends. I also love cats and offer cat sitting as well either alone or with his/her canine companion. I prefer to watch only one dog at a time but may make an exception. I may charge a little extra for puppies and dogs in the largest category and also for repeated oral medication (s). I am able to provide daycare when I dont have an overnight dog here, please contact me for availability as it is not listed on my services.

Jenifer took great care of my anxious little girl, Coda. Jenifer gave Coda the patience and gentleness she needed to feel at home at Jenifer’s place, and for that I am super appreciative. Jenifer would absolutely be my top choice to watch Coda again in the future.
Ellie May loved her stay with Jenifer! This was her first experience away from us and Jenifer made her very welcome in her home. Communication was great and pictures were very appreciated. We would definitely trust her to watch Ellie again.

Schedule
I began my petcare business as a hobby, but it has grown into a more than part-time job. I almost always have an overnight dog boarder as well as dog walks and cat or dog drop-ins booked every day. I work my social life and family commitments around my Rover business. I am not available for drop-ins, walks, pick ups or drop offs after 8pm in summer and 7pm in winter.

Dogs love to go on my decks as I overlook a pond and a lake and have lots of birds to watch. The decks are fully enclosed and offer a convenient option in the cold and snow.
A typical day
I often walk to the boat launch. It is very entertaining in the summer and quiet in the winter. Dogs love to go on my decks as I overlook a pond and a lake and have lots of birds to watch. I also live close to the Lake Country Trail.
