Hi! I’m Jenny! 🌻 I’ve been professionally dog sitting and walking for 9 years now. I have 20 years experience taking care of dogs and cats. I love the playful energy that they bring into people’s lives. While living in Nelson, I dog/house sat for over a 60 different families and had amazing experiences. Some of the dog owners even call me “Aunty Jenny”! I’m Head of Creative Partnerships and work in the retreat industry. So my hours are flexible and I can work wherever there is wifi! When I take care of dogs, I can bring them everywhere and on a lot of adventures whether it be the beach to play fetch, a long hike or run or to the dog park. I would love to own a dog, but I am still waiting until my travel bug settles down. Right now, I have to get my pup cuddles elsewhere :) I can pet/house sit any day during the week. I and go for 3-4 walks a day with the doggos (if they are able) I’m currently not allowed to have pets in my apartment, so I would have to come to you! Happy to travel into Vancouver, and can travel to the lower mainland, the Island, the gulf islands, Whistler or elsewhere as well and would request that travel/ferry fees are covered. I also have extensive experience working with reactive, timid/traumatized/anxious, and elderly dogs and cats. Some owners say that I have a calming energy that many pets feel grounded around (which feels nice!) I also am a plant and garden lover and will ensure that any greenery be taken care of! Rest assured, your plants, place and pets will be safe and happy with me! At this time I’m not allowed dogs in my building, so I will have to come to you! I am home working remotely which is an added bonus so pets are not left alone for long periods of time.

Jenalle‘s gentle, calm demeanour meant that Winnie was able to relax and feel comfortable with her instantly, this was a big relief for us as Winnie is a reactive and anxious dog. We felt confident in Jenalle’s ability to manage Winnie’s challenges and that she was really well looked after.
We had a great experience with Jenalle! She was super flexible and took great care of our two dogs and our home and catered to their exercise and medication needs. I highly recommend Jenalle to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!
I felt instantly at ease leaving my cat in Jenalle’s care. She was communicative, reliable, and truly went the extra mile to make sure my pet was comfortable and well looked after. I came home to a calm, content kitty—and a tidy home. Can’t thank her enough!

Jenalle is an amazing sitter! My dog can be a bit shy with new people, but she took the time to build trust and was so gentle and patient. I loved receiving daily photos and little notes about how the visit went. It’s clear she really loves animals and treats them like her own.

Schedule
I’m currently working remotely part time so I have ample time to take your dog for walks. I can work anywhere that has a wifi password so I am always around the animals.
