I started “The Dog Walker’s Diary” in the fall of 2022 when I was at a career crossroads. I was doing dog walks and picking up other odd jobs while I was on the hunt for a 9-5 job when I realized that I love working with animals and wanted to pursue this as a career and started my own business. I have a somewhat flexible schedule and am willing to accommodate you and your pet’s needs as best as I can.

I will need to care for your pet at your house as I have one dog and three cats and my yard is not fenced in, but I’m willing to accommodate as much as possible according to what works well for you and your pet(s)!
Information Jen M. would like to know about your pet
It is always good to know if you have any preference on where you like to take your dog on walks and how they interact with other dogs, people, kids, small animals, etc. so I know whether it’s okay to let them greet others while walking. I can start to pick up on how they react to certain things after doing some walks with them, but it’s always good to know upfront, as well! Also, if your dog has any medications they need administered, or if they have any other health specifications, then I will be sure to accommodate those to the best of my abilities.
A typical day
I really enjoy hiking and finding new trails to explore so if that is something that is at your dog’s energy level, then I can definitely take them on little adventures to trails nearby. I also love to play fetch with my own dog and give her activities that stimulate the brain and get out mental energy so I can keep your dog occupied with something like that. Other than that, I am also willing to just go on a simple walk around your neighborhood or sit on the couch and give them some love.

The Dog Walker’s Diary is where your pet becomes a part of the story! Find us on Facebook! I have had many family dogs, cats, small animals, and fish growing up and now my husband and I have a dog and three cats. I’ve also cared for turtles, birds, chickens, rabbits, ferrets, fish and other small animals. We would love to have chicken or quail of our own one day so I love all animals! I am willing to work with any size, breed, age, and temperament of dog and love all animals so I’m always up for caring for other pets you may have while dog walking, petsitting, etc. I’ve been caring for pets for majority of my life and always want the best for the animals I look after! I also enjoy getting outdoors and hiking on trails, so I am willing to do whatever is preferable for your dog and other pets to keep them healthy and active.

Jen went above and beyond! She’s so good with animals. My cat usually hides from everyone, but she didn’t do that with Jen. Thank you for being so awesome Jen!!!
Jen was amazing and great to work with. She gave regular updates of our cats and was able to communicate with easily. She was great with giving them pills and needed insulin shots that were required 12 hours apart. I would definitely work with her again.
