Pet care experience
I have had dogs for 24 years, cats for 16. My husband and I have fostered to adoption nearly 60 cats and dogs. After struggling to find quality affordable boarding care for our pets we have decided to open our home to others in the same situation. We have cared for puppies and kittens from 6 weeks up and have fully fenced yard. Our house has kids and pets but we are able to separate as needed. One adult works from home 3 days a week so it would be rare for your animal to be alone. Please just reach out and ask us questions to see if we are good fit for your pet to feel comfortable while you are gone.

Jen and Josh are wonderful! Our dogs have stayed with them a few times, and we plan to continue using their services in the future. At their home, our dogs are treated like family. This is especially important for our older lab who sheds a lot of hair and our high-energy German shorthair. It can be challenging to find a place where we know our dogs will be loved and well-cared for, beyond just their basic needs. The fenced-in backyard provides us with peace of mind, knowing that our dogs can play, exercise, and remain safe during their stay.

There is honestly no one I would trust more than Jen with my pets. Our family has dogs and cats, and I know that when I’m going out of town or need an extra hand, she’s going to give them the same love and care that we would. Jen is responsible and her attention to detail is unmatched, so I know my little herd of animals are always safe with her.

We have a fully fenced yard and a 3 house levels to keep pets safe as needed. We have 2 very friendly dogs to keep your pet company but if they prefer to be alone there is enough space to keep them separate. We also have 2 cats that are very friendly to other animals but they can also be kept separate if needed. Our home has 3 kids (2 older and 1 baby) that have been taught to give animals respect and space. If you are comfortable with them interacting with your pet they can help or we can make sure there is only adults interacting with your pet.

We are experienced with dogs and cats. We have mostly fostered younger puppies and kittens but are not worried about seniors. Please let me know if they have any medical concerns or tend to mark or have accidents. I can work with those situations but may change the location of where they stay in my home.
A typical day
Dogs in our home can expect to play outside in the yard, chase a ball or tug rope. We take evening walks and could go on a short morning walk if needed.

Availability
Josh currently works from home Monday and Friday. Jen and Josh are both home on weekends so there is plenty of time for play time or walks in our schedules. We also have a 10 and 13 year old available to help with extra playtime or attention needs. We do have experience with giving oral medication and eye ointments but not injections.
