Jemmas pet care
I have worked as a qualified veterinary nurse for 20 years in veterinary practices. I have also successfully completed a foundation level dog training course with APDT. Recently I am looking for a new career, and would love to look after, and walk people beloved pets. I have done alot of pet sitting in the past, and I am reliable and trustworthy. I have also always had my own animals, including dogs, cats, horse. I have also worked with horses in a trekking centre, and also teaching children to ride. So I am used to caring for a wide range of different animals. I am dedicated to giving all the animals I look after the best possible care and love

I do not have the accommodation to be able to look after pets where I live, so the service I will be offering will be to house sit in the pets own home, and walking dogs I can do collection from their home

Jemma was lovely with our cat and dog - and us. Our slightly anxious dog was as usual not impressed at first, but on our return she found it difficult to decide which of us was her favourite person. Jemma just took getting to know her very slowly, and used treats appropriately. The cat was also very happy, the house tidy, and the new plants well watered on our return.
Jemma is just fantastic! Calm, understanding, knowledgable and is a former vet nurse so very practical too. I have an anxious reactive dog and Jemma was always very mindful when out on walks/dog sitting and knew how to handle situations. My dog also takes time to trust new people but Jemma’s unthreatening and understanding body language allowed him to feel safe and they clicked straight away. I was very sad when she decided to move away from the area and so was my poochie. You won’t find someone much better if I’m honest.

Schedule
I am currently not working, and so can be very flexible, although i am going to be starting a part time job as a teaching assistant soon. I am not sure what hours or days i will be working yet, as this will be agency work. So currently I can be very flexible

- Let me know all about your dog, and their specific needs. I will follow their schedule that they are used to, to avoid changing their routine. So I will require information on how they get on with other dogs, people, and timings for feeding, and walking.
