Hello and welcome to my profile 🙂 — I've been around animals throughout my life and love their company. I spent 2023/24 housesitting full-time at various places and have since continued to care for pets on an ad-hoc basis. — I have spent days or months staying in various homes ranging from city apartments to country estates and am very respectful and vigilant. I'm very careful with house items/antiques and security and I am also used to staying in isolated places. — Past experiences include growing-up in a home of cats, a Labrador, guinea pig, rabbit, chickens and fish. Living on a small-holding where I helped care for rabbits, pigs, sheep/lambs and chickens. Volunteering through the WWOOF (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) network which involved living on farms and working with dairy cows, sheep, goats, and horses. Plus handling birds and hedgehogs while volunteering at a Wildlife Rescue Centre. — Before confirming a drop-in/walk or housesit we can have an initial call and then all being well, depending on your proximity to my place, I can visit closer to the set date. (Unfortunately, I am unable to accept housesitting assignments within the ULEZ zone. My vehicle is not ULEZ-compliant and the daily fee makes it unfeasible for me). — With regard to my lifestyle, I work part-time as a graphic designer, and on the other days I sometimes carry-out ecology surveys or conservation tasks. I enjoy reading/audiobooks, visiting art galleries, gardening, hiking and pilates.

I love the company of pets and bring a calm and affectionate presence, adjusting to each pets preference and character. I will always share updates/pictures and aim to build a trusting relationship with pets and owners to make sure everyone is happy. I'm kind and considerate and will naturally be friendly to neighbours and anyone working at the property.

Jemima was the perfect sitter! Super friendly and organised. Communication was excellent from start to finish. She was confident and great with the animals and sent us some lovely photographs. She left the house spic and span. Highly recommended. She sat for us in May 2024

Jemima was absolutely amazing, she took incredible care of our little dachshund for seven weeks. He was very sad to see her go. We had the best experience having her to stay and would not hesitate to welcome her back again or to highly recommend her to others.
Jemima was a wonderful sitter. It was lovely to meet her and her mum for an hour before we set off, we instantly could feel how considerate and kind they were. Dotty was quick to sit on their laps before we had even left the house! We received beautiful photos of the cats while we were away and they were extremely content and happy when we returned home - almost as if they hadn't even noticed we had gone! The house was beautifully clean and tidy when we got home and Jemima had kindly pick our tomatoes and put them in the fridge for us.

Schedule
I can offer short or long housesits but it's worth noting that I am usually out at work during the day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If your trip covers these days then I tend to care for cats unless someone else can cover. — I can do visits or walks Friday to Monday.
