I just retired as a pilot for American Airlines so I have lots of spare time to walk the dogs and pet the cats! I can do walks pretty much any time of day.

I have a recative dog myself and realize its importatnt to know your animals personality. How does he/she react to others, does he/she chase after other dogs, try to start fights? This is important to know ahead of time.
A typical day
Mostly outside walking but I can relax inside with the animals as well, playing with pull toys, light grooming and similar types of activities. I can certainly feed them as well.
