What sets me apart is the deep, lifelong connection I’ve had with dogs. I’ve personally raised three pups from just six weeks old all the way through their senior years. Each one grew into a loving, obedient, and well-mannered companion, and I’ve been through every stage of life with them—from puppy energy to senior snuggles. That experience has given me a strong understanding of how to care for dogs at any age, whether it’s gentle patience with a new pup or extra comfort and support for older dogs. This is a truly dog-friendly home where your pet will feel like family. I have three kind and respectful kids who absolutely adore dogs and are always excited to welcome new furry friends into our home. Whether your pup loves to play, nap, or just follow someone around all day, there’s a warm spot (and probably a willing lap) waiting for them here. I don’t just watch dogs—I care for them as if they were my own. 🐾

I had a fantastic experience with Jeffrey. Communication was excellent from start to finish—he kept me updated with messages and pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My dog had the best time playing with his dog, and it was clear he was loved and well cared for. When I picked him up, he was happy, healthy, and tired from all the fun. His home was also very clean and felt like a safe environment. I would definitely book again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!
Jeffrey was amazing with my dog. He took the time to brush out her fur after muddy walks because the week I left her was particularly rainy. I like that Jeffrey truly treated my pet like one of his own.

Jeffrey Axtmann has been a true animal lover for his entire life - especially dogs! He has rescued numerous animals, has fostered dogs, found loving homes for them and has incorporated dogs into his family, making them an important part of his family. I would highly, without a doubt, recommend him for any type of pet sitting. The owners of the pets in his care could rest assured with absolutely no qualms that their pet would receive the love and attention that they themselves would give.
Jeffrey is an incredible pet sitter who cared for my dog just like I do. He remembered her exact feeding schedule and made sure she got her usual long walks. He even brought her favorite toy outside for fetch, which she loves but most people forget. When he noticed a small irritation on her paw, he cleaned it gently and kept an eye on it without me having to ask. I came home to a calm, happy dog who clearly felt loved and safe while I was gone. Knowing Jeffrey was with her gave me real peace of mind. I wouldn’t trust anyone else!

Hi! I’m a school social worker with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District, and caring for others—whether it’s students or furry friends—has always been second nature to me. I’ve had a dog in my life since I was a teenager, and I truly believe dogs are one of the most perfect, loving animals on this earth. 💛 Over the years, I’ve trained dogs to go potty outside, sit, stay, lay down, heel on walks, and even speak when it’s treat time (a favorite trick in our house!). I’ve also raised multiple dogs from puppyhood through their senior years, so I’m comfortable with dogs at all life stages and energy levels. This is a dog-loving home, through and through. I have three kids who are gentle, kind, and absolutely adore dogs. There’s always a cozy corner, a warm cuddle, and plenty of love waiting for your pup here. Whether they want to play, nap, go on walks, or just soak up some attention, your dog will be treated like one of the family

A typical day
While your pets are in my care, I make it a priority to keep them both physically and mentally stimulated through a mix of fun and comforting activities. We’ll go on walks to keep them active and engaged with their surroundings, enjoy playtime to challenge their minds and burn off energy, and of course, there will be plenty of cuddles and affection to help them feel secure and loved. My goal is to ensure your pets feel happy, stimulated, and cared for every step of the way!
