Reliable and Experienced Dog Sitter
Hi, I’m Jeff — a lifelong dog lover, experienced sitter, and trainer based in the Brookfield / La Grange area. I work from home full-time, which means your dog gets consistent care, structure, and attention all day long. I’m also a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy, one of the leading programs in positive reinforcement training. That means when your dog boards with me, they’ll benefit not just from attentive care but also from my focus on household manners, social skills, and loose-leash walking. I especially enjoy caring for puppies and younger dogs, helping them build confidence, consistency, and good habits that last a lifetime. I treat every boarding stay as an opportunity to strengthen your dog’s understanding and manners in a calm, structured home environment. I have over 130 five-star reviews from happy clients and am proud to be a Rover Star Sitter. My home is warm, clean, and dog-friendly, with dedicated rest areas, a fenced yard, and daily enrichment activities. Additional training is available on request — from leash skills to polite greetings to household behavior — so your dog can learn while they stay! Note: I care for dogs up to about 65 lbs. Puppies are welcome and not required to be neutered/spayed if under a year old!

Safety, trust & environment
With 130+ five-star reviews and many repeat clients, you can count on consistent, trustworthy care and open communication throughout your dog’s stay. I’m home throughout the day so your dog is never left unattended for long stretches. My fenced yard with locked gates provides secure, supervised outdoor time. Every dog enjoys a 1 mile morning walk around the park to start the day right. I maintain a clean, structured, and calm indoor space where dogs can rest, play, and relax. I’m trained to recognize canine body language and manage safe introductions — ensuring all dogs are comfortable and socialized appropriately. I keep updated vaccinations and flea/tick prevention as requirements for all guests. I’m certified by the American Red Cross in Dog and Cat First Aid and located close to a trusted veterinary clinic. I make sure to keep owners informed of any health concerns that may come up. To keep things fun, I have an ongoing BarkBox subscription, so there are always new toys and healthy treats for enrichment.

A typical day
Every day with me balances exercise, structure, play, and calm downtime. Here’s how a typical day looks for boarding guests: Morning: Wake-up potty break and breakfast (if provided by you). A 1 -mile walk around the nearby park for exercise, sniffing, and loose-leash practice. Relaxation and free time indoors or gentle play in the yard. Midday: Interactive playtime, cuddles, and rest in a quiet spot. Optional short training sessions for focus, leash work, or household manners. Treats and toy play — thanks to my BarkBox stash, there’s always something new and fun! Afternoon: Another walk or yard session depending on energy level and weather. Calm indoor downtime for recharging — with light music or soft background sounds to help dogs relax. Evening: Dinner, followed by a short walk or backyard play. Winding down with cuddles or quiet time before bed. Night: Dogs sleep comfortably in an environment similar to their home whether that be in a dog bed, crate or the couch. I check on everyone before lights out to ensure they’re settled, safe, and content. Throughout the day, I send photo and video updates so you can see your pup having fun and feeling right at home. My goal is that your dog returns to you relaxed, happy, and maybe even showing off a few new manners.
