A (Fun) Loving Home Away from Home
After more than 20 years of pet ownership, my home is empty and still. I'd love to share it with some furry friends but on a more temporary basis. I am retired, home much of the time, and my pet-friendly condominium is a spacious 1300 sq. ft. It features nice cushy furniture to cuddle up in and a porch to lie on when the weather is warm. There are a couple of dog-friendly parks nearby and all sorts of foot paths for exploring. As a pet sitter, I'm well-versed in dog obedience and can even teach a few tricks. My philosophy is that a gentle hand, quiet voice, and positive reinforcement make the best obedience tools (plus a few snacks). Your pooch is welcome on the furniture, but if it's not allowed in your home, I will respect that as well as any other rules pertaining to habits that you do or don't want to break. On an "administrative" note: I can take dogs up to 20 pounds but Rover doesn't have the ability to customize weights.

dennis loves jeanne so much! he is an anxious pup but can’t wait to see her always. doesn’t even say bye to me anymore when he’s dropped off 😂 truly the best dog sitter 😊

It was our first time leaving our 9-year old Shih Tzu with Jeanne. He stayed for 12 days. She kept us updated with photos and took him on walks daily. Even though he had diarrhea the first couple of days due to stress of a new environment, she knew how to handle it. We could tell she truly loves the dogs in her care as her own. Thanks Jeanne!

Jeanne is a great sitter

Another amazing experience! Lots of updates and was great at communicating.
Jeanne focuses on smaller dogs which is great for us. She was great with our dog even though he can be bit naughty. I know she her popularity has grown since we started with her - she had to say no once which was totally understable. she clearly loves small dogs and we cannot recommend her enough.

Jeanne is just the best. Lucky would just go to her place willingly. He knows he’s well taken care of by Jeanne.

Schedule
I am retired, so someone should be with your fur baby much of the day. We get out at least once a day for a substantial walk and more frequently for quick energy-buster walks.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I live in a quiet, secure condominium. My charges are always leashed when we leave the house. And I'm happy to crate your dog if you wish! I have crates, too, so you don't need to bring one unless you want.
A typical day
Walks (leash only) in the park, and around the town center. If the weather is bad, there's always time for chasing balls in the hallway!
- Cats0 to 15 lbsSpayed and neutered dogs onlyNo females in heatCrate-trained dogs onlyJeanne can host up to 2 pets per night
- Vaccines, medical conditions, and vet contact info. Puppies should be fully vaccinated for their own safety if there are other dogs here during their stay. Typical daily routine. Behavioral quirks and an honest assessment of house-training habits. Note that you won't be turned down if your pet has a potty problem or behavioral problem. I just need to know.
