• I am a ghost writer with flexible, remote hours. Having animals to tend gets me up from the computer at regular intervals. Now that our youngest drives, I am more available for drop-in visits.

Let me know special dietary or exercise needs, or accommodations for handicaps, if he has been rescued or deals with PTSD, any special trigger words or habits that help him feel at ease, and how he behaves around a cat. I’m sensitive to high-pitched barking, so “yippy” dogs would do better with a sitter other than me. Merritt Island is home to several reliable and friendly pet-tenders! I do not accept dogs that bite. If arranged in advance, I’m open to taking your dog for an extended outing (beach, park), for an additional fee we discuss. Your pup would need to fit in the back of my Chevy Volt. (A retriever would fit, a Great Dane would not.)
A typical day
Regarding doggy daycare option, we live in the Surfside Estates development, off of Banana River Drive N, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. I enjoy playing fetch or throwing a frisbee. I’m glad to curl up with a book, dog by my side, or cat in my lap.

• I’m a mom of four children (three grown and moved out) who loves pets. I grew up with a black Lab, then a Collie mix, then a mutt. My favorite Siamese cat, Tiger, lived to 23.
