Life-long pet lover and former SPCA officer.
I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life—dogs, cats, horses, and even reptiles at one point. Growing up in Canada, I developed a deep passion for animal care and welfare, which led me to work as an officer for the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) during my university years. This role allowed me to rescue animals in need, provide them with care and support, and find them loving forever homes. It was incredibly rewarding to gain their trust during some of the most stressful times in their lives. I’ve also been a foster parent for the Mira Foundation, an organization dedicated to training seeing-eye and assistance dogs. As a foster, I cared for and provided basic training to young puppies, preparing them for the advanced training they’d need to support individuals with disabilities. This role required me to take the puppies everywhere—to work, restaurants, grocery stores, and more—ensuring they were well-socialized and comfortable in various environments. Currently, I’m a professional horse trainer, working daily with young and nervous horses. My job involves building trust and respect, which requires me to project calm confidence and interpret their body language effectively. These skills translate well to all animals, as I deeply understand the importance of patience, empathy, and consistency. I also care for cats, including my own at the stables and those belonging to friends when they’re away. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or other pets, I bring the same level of dedication and care to every animal I work with. Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have a spacious home with plenty of rooms, offering pets ample space to explore, play, or find a quiet spot to relax. My large yard provides an open area for supervised outdoor time, and I live on a very quiet street, perfect for peaceful walks. For more active outings, I often take dogs to a nearby forest, where they can exercise and enjoy nature. With the owner’s permission, I’m also happy to bring them to a local dog park for socialization and playtime in a safe, controlled environment. I also have my own dog, who is well-socialized and friendly with other pets. If your dog enjoys the company of other dogs, they can play together and have a great time, adding an extra layer of fun and companionship to their stay. Rest assured, I always tailor activities to your pet’s needs and preferences, ensuring they feel secure and loved in my care.

Det har varit fantastiskt att ha Jean-Francois till stöd när vi varit bortresta. Vi har 3 katter som med kattlucka kan gå ut och in närsom det behagar. Trots det inväntade J-F katterna varje morgon så att jag kunde få ett foto på samtliga så jag visste att allt var ok med dem. This was my second time having Jean-Francois helping with my two cats, and once again everything went very smoothly. Communication was excellent—regular contact and updates, which gave me a real peace of mind. My two cats were well cared for and looked completely relaxed and happy when we got back. It’s clear they’re in good hands. Highly recommend!

Vi är extremt tacksamma över den omsorg Lexie fick. Vi fick många bilder och videor och på sätt kunde vi få vara med i vardagen. Vi rekommenderar verkligen Jean-Francois som hundpassare och kommer anlita honom igen om det skulle behövas. Lexie saknar även hunden Hugo som blev en fin vän. All kärlek från familjen Félix som kunde ha en avslappnad semester ❤️
Mycket bra bemötande och mycket bra kunskap om hundar. Tyvärr funkade inte hans egen hund och min så bra men under dygnet min var där så skötte han det väldigt bra och var öppen och ärlig med hur det hade fungerat. Och inga allvarliga incidenter mellan hundarna uppstod. Mycket professionellt. Kan starkt rekommendera detta stället.
Fantastisk hundvakt. Min hund har fått så mycket kärlek och gos, promenader men också utmaningar som utvecklat henne. Kan varmt rekommendera och kommer absolut göra om det

Schedule
As a self-employed professional, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to adapt to your pet's needs. I’m available for daytime visits, evening care, and even overnight stays. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a long walk, or dedicated companionship, I can accommodate. I share custody of my two young children, so my schedule alternates between even and odd weeks. On even weeks, my children are with me. They are experienced with animals and know how to be calm and respectful around pets of all sizes. On odd weeks, I’m child-free and have even more flexibility to focus entirely on your pet’s care. Regardless of the week, I will ensure your pet receives the attention, care, and affection they deserve. I’d be happy to discuss any specific needs or arrangements to make your pet feel at ease.
