When you are away, do you want to be sure your pet receives more than just feeding, potty-ing and walking? We’re retirees, a team of two (Jean and Elena), and experienced pet caretakers, so we can add more to your dog or cat’s day than just the basics. Teaming up also means we can offer flexibility for last minute plans. We do pet drop in visits for both cats and dogs, dog walking and house sitting. Pets need extra attention when you are gone to help relieve any anxiety they may feel. They also need their rituals and play activities in order to feel that their life in your absence is more “normal”. At the Meet and Greet we will learn the basics but we also want to know about their habits, the ways in which they like to play and what typical ways you make them feel “special” so we can enjoy some of the same things with them. We recently bought a home in Kirkland to be near my daughter. We’ve been visiting her and her Rover boarders and have enjoyed it so much we decided to join Rover, too. We are pet lovers and caretakers for over 30 years; for our own pets and for friends for whom we have “puppy or kitty sat” over the years. Bailey is our 3 year old neutered English Cream Retriever and Missy is our four year old Out of the Woods feral cat. Missy adopted us in a campground when she was VERY pregnant and promptly “gifted” us with 5 kittens. (Yes, she has since been spayed!) Just days before the gifting we picked up our then ten week old Bailey and continued to travel in our motorhome. Anyone who can both manage and enjoy THAT is super qualified to take care of just about any pet sitting or walking, including your pets! (Both Bailey and Missy recommend us very highly.) We also take care of Simba, a rough and tumble 13 lb. mutt that thinks she is a Golden Retriever and consorts with them and other big dogs with no fear at all. She is a great playmate for Bailey and Missy, who secretly loves her but pretends she doesn’t even know Simba is there. Simba is with us three days a week and also gives us five stars! Arriving home to failing plants is no fun but it can be hard to find a “plant sitter”. Elena has a passion and talent for gardening, especially with indoor plants, and can water and care for them. Jean does fish! (But not fish tank balancing.) We love dog walking and our extensive experience will insure your dog is safe and happy on our walks together. We can do “drop ins” to feed, potty and play with your dogs and cats as many times a day as you want. We can administer oral and topical medications and have a lot of experience with senior pets. Finally, we can stay overnight for the security of your home and pets if that is something you need. We’ve got you! Clearly we have the experience and maturity to take care of your pets. We have lots of love to give them and we also find joy in them. As with many things, a sense of humor helps too. We’d love to care for your dogs and cats and make it a safe, fun and loving experience for them and for us; and also make it easier for you to be away. It will be a good experience for all of us.
