This is our first time trying out a new dog sitter after our long-term sitter moved out of state and I’m slightly disappointed. Lola is fine and was clearly taken care of, but my issue is the lack of intentional communication on Jayla’s end. I had to check in with her to receive any updates on Lola and the updates were very vague. When we picked her up, Jayla had Lola and her belongings ready to go (which is great), but it was clear she didn’t want us to enter her home and there wasn’t a thorough debrief on how everything went. The pick up went by so fast that by the time I remembered to ask if she had pottied, the encounter was over. Also, Jayla knew to feed Lola her second meal at 5 pm each day and we picked her up well after 5 pm. When we got home, I asked Jayla if Lola had eaten and she revealed that not only had Lola not eaten her second meal of the day, she refused to eat her first meal of the day. If I hadn’t asked her about it, I would have never known, which is my issue. I recommend that Jayla be more forthcoming and transparent in how she communicates with dog parents in the future.

Jayla took excellent care of my labradoodle and was very responsive throughout his stay and frequently sent pictures of him. Highly recommend her.
