Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s routine exactly and always double-check leashes/harnesses, gates, and doors before heading out or leaving. I’m also very conscious of keeping your home secure at all times—careful with keys/access, making sure pets are safely inside, and confirming doors are closed and locked when I leave. My past work has often involved being in other people’s homes, so I understand how important privacy, respect, and care are—I’ll treat your space with the utmost consideration. I’m attentive to body language, weather, and neighborhood hazards, and I keep walks calm and controlled. In your home, I’m respectful and tidy—fresh water, clean bowls/litter as needed, plus clear updates and photos each visit.
Information Jay R. would like to know about your pet
I always appreciate knowing what makes your pet feel safest and most comfortable. Please share any routines, commands, medical needs, medications, fears, triggers, quirks, or behaviors I should know about ahead of time. It’s also helpful to know their energy level, leash preferences, and how they do with other dogs, people, or new situations. I want to care for your pet in a way that feels familiar, safe, and supportive for them.
A typical day
Every visit is tailored to your pet’s personality, energy level, and routine. For dogs, that may look like a calm walk with plenty of sniff time, exercise, water, and a little play or reinforcement of familiar commands. For drop-ins, I’m happy to do potty breaks, feeding, meds, playtime, and companionship. I always aim to create a safe, low-stress experience and make sure your pet feels cared for, comfortable, and seen.

Pets Are Family, Trustworthy Care
Pet care experience
As a pet parent myself (6yo Corgi + 6yo kitty), I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family. I’ve lived my whole life around pets, from dogs and cats to bunnies, rats, and even horses. I have experience in everything dog related, from feeding routines, meds and walks to puppy training and senior care. I’m calm, attentive, and safety/focused on walks. I know how important it is to follow your routine and training style exactly— from feeding, meds, ways to walk, and commands. I bring a gentle, loving presence and I take integrity seriously: I show up when I say I will, communicate clearly, and treat your pet with the same patience and care I’d want for my own. You’ll get thoughtful updates and photos each visit so you feel at ease while you’re away. I prefer to do a meet-and-greet to make sure your pet feels comfortable and I get all the details to provide the best care for your furry family.

Reviews
Jay has been amazing with animals every time I've ever seen them with one, whether it be on the handle side of the leash or the pet side. They're so observant with not only the body language of the animals they work with, but also their surroundings. Whether it be near street traffic, pedestrian traffic, or other animals within both eyeshot and earshot, they're always paying attention to ensure whichever fur baby they have on their leash stays safe and has an enjoyable walk. 10/10 highly recommend
I’m extremely protective of my dog, she is my best friend. The idea of leaving her with someone who is not me is a challenging idea, that being said I would not hesitate to have the chance to let Jay care for my dog. They are one of the most dedicated and caring pup parents I’ve ever met and would be a fantastic choice for your service.
Jacqueline provides great care and attention toward furry friends. Attention to detail, patience and a genuine compassion to create a safe space for them is all you can ask for. As far as personality goes; reliability, kindness, and dedication make Jacqueline an excellent and trustworthy pet caretaker.
Jay is great with caring for pets and house sitting. She treated my fur babies as if they were her own. She was on time and followed all feeding instructions. I have used her a few times and would recommend her.
