I've lived with cats for most of my life and currently care for three with very different needs and personalities. My experience includes senior cats, prescription diets, oral medications, and administering subcutaneous fluids. I understand that every cat has different comfort levels, and I never force interaction. Whether your cat wants to play, cuddle, or simply have their space respected, I'll follow their routine and provide calm, reliable care while you're away.

Every cat has their own routine, so I start by following the owner's instructions carefully. During each visit I'll refresh food and water, scoop the litter box, check that your cat is doing well, and spend time with them based on their personality and comfort level. Some cats love to play, others enjoy gentle affection, and some simply appreciate calm company. I never force interaction and always respect a cat's boundaries. If medications or a special diet are part of their routine, I'm happy to follow those instructions. I'll also send photo updates and let you know how your cat is doing so you can relax while you're away.

I was having a rough time taking care of a bigger dog while my body was failing me and Jay stepped in to help a lot. They're great with animals in general, but they were extremely good with my not very well leash trained dog.
Jay is a very loving caregiver to both their pets and others. They have always approached meeting new furry friends with an awareness of the situation that may influence how they respond to Jay's approach. They are timely and understanding of changes, so rest easy knowing that Jay can adapt to your pets needs when given appropriate notice.

Schedule
I am available for at least two drop in visits everyday. I'm currently working part time so I have several chunks throughout the week to accommodate your pet sitting needs. I work longer on Tuesdays and Fridays, so morning drop ins would be a little earlier and night drop ins a little later.
- CatsJay can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
- My own three cats run the full spectrum of personalities and needs, so I know no two cats are alike. I'd like to know your cat's daily routine, feeding schedule, favorite toys and treats, any medications or medical conditions, litter box habits, and whether they're shy, social, or prefer their space. I also appreciate knowing about any hiding spots, household rules, and what helps your cat feel safe and comfortable. The more I know about your cat's normal routine, the better I can keep things familiar and reduce stress while you're away.
