When I am watching a dog that dog takes priority over other projects. Whether it be playing fetch, or going for walks , feeding etc. Since I am home most days, and most of the projects I am working on are home based, and they are not necessarily time sensitive. Most of the time I can put that time towards the dog. And any left over time can be spent on projects.

How do you care for pets in your home? I keep the front door and back gate closed at all times, so we don't have any escaping incidents. I do my best to keep any dog under my care happy by playing with them and giving them lots of pets & attention. Taking them for at least 1 walk usually in the afternoon, and also in the evening weather permitting. And by adhering to their feeding and / or medication schedule.

What's your dogs demeanor and temperament like? Does your dog have any quirks / personality oddities I should know about? Has your dog been boarded before by any other sitter? how well does your dog listen to commands?
A typical day
As I mentioned before my backyard is fairly big, with a concrete patio and grass all the way around it. It works great for a place to explore, & playing fetch in. We'll also be going for a walk in the afternoon and or in the evening. My girlfriend lives about 1/2 mile from me so we might go visit her and continue our a walk near the park she lives down the street from. If that's ok with you?

Pet care experience
I have always loved animals! Throughout my life my family has had many cats & dogs that I had to help take care of. We have had many types of dogs we had to care for, ranging from a large Husky, to a Maltese and a small Pomeranian. Back in 2015 our Pomeranian. was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and we had to give him up to 5 different medications 2x a day. So I have had experience with giving medications to dogs. I have also helped my girlfriend watch her brothers' Sheep-a-doodle puppy, fetch and tug-o-war are his favorites. I am currently working on a couple home related projects, and also working part-time from home. So I should have plenty of time to pay attention to your pup. I plan on being home most weekdays Mon-Fri, weekends might also possible. Boarding should also follow roughly the same schedule. I have read a number of horror stories about Rover online when sitters take in multiple dogs from different families. That said, I was a little skeptical about signing up for Rover in the first place. So I figure if I am going to try and do this I should be up front with folks: 1. I smoke cigarettes' outside and occasionally in the garage, but not in the house, or my room. 2. I will only be taking 1 dog at a time, unless you have more than one dog and they all get along, then I should be able to take more than 1. 3. Since I don't have a dog anymore, I also don't have any food here to give them. But I do have food & water bowls. 4. I am new to dog sitting as a business. I also think $85 a night seems high to me. And besides, I'll be home weather or not your dog is here, at least this way I'll have some company. 5. So my current cell phone is around 12 yrs. old and the speaker is not loud at all. So if I don't respond within 30 mins, more than likely I didn't hear the message. I plan on upgrading to a newer phone sometime in Jan. if not sooner. 6. There are a few other things you will need to be aware of, but I'm not going to post them here. My backyard is fully enclosed by an 7 foot tall wooden fence. There is one board that is loose and a small dog such as a Pomeranian might be able to squeeze through the boards into my neighbors backyard. I plan on fixing this before I take any small dogs, but as of this writing I am not going to be taking small dogs. I have a fairly large backyard, perfect for running around on with a lot of grass and 4 trees that provide shade during the day and dusk. The doors leading to the backyard can be left open so that your dog can take a potty break any time they wish. Although, as it gets colder we might need to arrange potty breaks.

Jason was amazing! He was quick to respond, updated us frequently, and paid a lot of attention to our dog. We will definitely try to book Jason again in the future!

Our Coco loved her stay with Jason. She had such a good time getting so much attention and spending time outside. The regular updates were great and we could truly enjoy our vacation. It is quite difficult to find someone who is good with reactive dogs. Our Coco is fine with other dogs, just not in the same house. So it was important to find someone who only takes one dog at a time. Jason loves dogs, takes such good care of them and we will definitely become repeat customers.

Happy’s favorite sitter!

Jason took great care of our dog Koda quite a few times last year and this year and Koda always love to go back. Thank you very much for taking care of Koda🙏
