As a full-time student with a part-time job, my schedule is flexible. I have evenings and nights open, and from Wednesday to Friday, I’m available after 1 pm. On Wednesdays, I have no classes at all, and I’m free all weekends. This allows me to provide reliable pet care when my clients need it most.

Understanding their behavior and temperament helps me provide the right care, especially if they have triggers like loud noises or separation anxiety. Knowing their activity level and favorite activities allows me to keep them engaged. I also follow any house rules, like furniture restrictions or specific training cues. Lastly, I always make sure I have emergency contacts, including their vet and the owner’s preferred way to be reached.
A typical day
I make sure every dog stays active, happy, and engaged based on their needs. Walks and hikes help them get exercise and explore new sights. Playtime includes fetch, tug-of-war, and interactive toys for fun and stimulation. If allowed, I can arrange playdates for socialization. For dogs that love affection, cuddle time is always included. My goal is to provide a fun and enriching experience while keeping them safe and happy.

As an animal science major, I have hands-on experience with giving medication and checking vitals.
