I became a dog owner for the first time in 2022 when I purchased a Cane Corso. A lot of time, patience and energy has gone into his training and discipline to ensure I am in control. I have experience of drop ins with other dogs where I have gone in for friends and neighbours during the working day when they are unable to go home for them. I have also worked from their home for a few hours to provide some company for the dogs too. I’ve had cats my entire life, but more recently became the owner of 3 Maine Coons in 2020. They require a lot of attention and care due to their specific diet and coats requirements, and they are quite needy! I have done drop ins for cats for my family and friends and neighbours when they have gone on holiday for the last 5 years. I always give them some playtime and feed them as required but make sure to give them some love before departing as I would always want someone to spend time with mine. As a cat owner I also have experience giving medications and cleaning litter trays.
