Hello! My name is Jasmin and I have been pet sitting/dog walking for 20+ years for family, friends, co-workers, and gaining new clients through word of mouth. I love meeting new pets of all kinds, ages, and sizes. I have grown with many of my extended pet families, seeing new additions and heartbreaking endings. I have grown up with animals all of my life, including growing up on a small farm with cats, dogs, goats, pigs, and birds of all feathers. I have had the chance to work long term with animals who have anxiety of new people and situations, seeing them grow to be confident in themselves, their home, and re-claiming 'The Walk' as their territory is one of the most beautiful things. I have stayed with a pup on new years eve, a few years in a row, who doesn't like fireworks. Poor girl was trying to dig into the carpet to get under it and into a closet. Her and I stayed in the bathroom in the middle of the house (protection from the sounds outside) for 2 hours together, listening to classical music and getting pets, until she let me know she was ready to venture out. I was also able to have the experience of sitting a dog that would get seizures. The parent was able to demonstrate how they handled the episodes, as they were very common, and while I hated watching her go through the seizure, having her come out of it being held and pet; safe, really made me feel good about what I -could do-, even if I couldn't take them away. I have experience with giving pills, using UTI wipes, and ear/eye drops, when they are needed, though I prefer to have clear instructions, and/or a demonstration, as all of our animals do not enjoy these items. If I can make it as close to how the parents do it, then hopefully that will help the animal. In the end, I am very easy going when it comes to animals and I have all the love in the world to give them. Thank you for the chance to expand my ever growing extended pet family!
