Jared and his wife seemed really nice in person. The dogs warmed up to Jared quickly during the meet and greet. We boarded our dogs with them for a full week and we ultimately chose Jared because of his good reviews but I was a bit skeptical after the meet and greet. There were red flags right away but we were in a pinch and needed help quickly. 1. This was the first sitter that would not allow me to see the home my dogs would be staying in. We did a meet and greet outside but when asked to see where they would be staying I was told no and told his wife was working from home. 2. If communication is important, this isn’t the sitter for you. We scheduled and confirmed a meet and greet for a Sunday at a specific time and when I messaged that I’ll be there in 15 minutes, I received no response. Then when I arrived, I messaged and called several times with no response and sat outside for more than 15-20 minutes. He did apologize saying he had the app silenced. 3. He seems to be unorganized. They told me not to bring toys because they get lost. When I picked them up, he only gave me 2 of the 3 bowls and then had to go back in and find the 3rd. He came out with 2 small bowls for cats which weren’t mine and then had to go back in again to find the right bowl. Also, the dog bed inside of the crate we provided was soaked when I picked the dogs up and smelled terrible so it was thrown away. 4. He did send a photo of each dog to me once a day but that was it. Nothing about their behavior or really any information unless I asked about it. 5. Both dogs smelled dirty and had to get immediate baths when they got home. The harnesses and leashes also needed to be cleaned thoroughly. Not sure what the odor was but it just smelled dirty. Overall, it wasn’t the best experience but at the end of the day, the dogs seemed to be happy and taken care of. No issues with feeding or medications which was really important. It would have been nice to see the home they were staying in and have better communication. Jared may be a great option for a dog walked given how quickly the dogs warmed up to him but I wouldn’t recommend using him for extended periods of time for boarding. I wasn’t able to feel comfortable and confident during my vacation.

Our pup stayed with Jared for a short weekend stay and she had a great time! We already booked Jared for future bookings! We know she will be in good hands.

We would not rebook with Jared. Although we did a meet & greet, we felt uneasy that he was not willing to show us his space where our two pups would be cared for. He always kept us waiting outside his condo building. Their things were returned to us dirty and disorganized. Our dogs are usually clean at home but to see their padding soiled and the need to wash their towel made us feel that he had not given our pups the level of attention we were expecting. It is always a little disconcerting when our pups return to us and they immediately have to potty multiple times as if they did not get enough outside potty time.

Jared was great with my dog. He came home happy and tired.

Jared did a good job with doggy daycare for a day. It was a trial run to make sure he and my dog were compatible since I’ve arranged for a three day stay with Jared.

Great experience! Jared watched Lucky from Thursday through Sunday and did an awesome job. Super reliable and highly recommended!"
