From puppies to senior dogs, I have extensive experience in dog care, including bathing, walking, and training. I am confident in my ability to look after dogs of all ages, breeds and behaviors. While I am not actively fostering dogs at present, my past experience with a nonprofit dog rescue involved nurturing dogs both physically and working on behaviors until they were adopted. My past role as Clinic Director of a Spay and Neuter Clinic allowed me to gain valuable experience in handling dogs with various temperaments, including aggressive, shy, and passive-aggressive. I also have extensive experience with cats. Many cats have found refuge in my care as a registered foster, and I'm proud to have played a part in their journey to happy, forever homes. I'm also a board member of a nonprofit cat rescue in Syracuse, I help make decisions that support the well-being of cats in need. Need help with other animals? Let's talk. Working on a farm taught me the ins and outs of caring for different types of animals, such as cows, chickens, horses, rabbits, and even emus.

Safety, trust & environment
If you are boarding with me, I have all necessary supplies (crates, leashes, bowls etc.). I have a spacious fenced-in yard and two amiable dogs. To minimize stress for all animals, I won't introduce your dog(s) unless it's a long-term boarding arrangement.

Janyl was fantastic with my 19-year-old cat. She is very communicative, writes great updates, and sends lots of photos. She also went above and beyond to take care of a trash issue at my house. I’ll definitely reserve her services again.
Janyl is amazing. We just moved here from South Carolina and I’m beyond thankful to have someone treat my pets so well and with so much caring and love. She truly goes above and beyond and it really makes my day reading her Roover’s cards.

Schedule
My adaptable work schedule permits me to care for dogs every 2-4 hours on weekdays and weekends. Despite my unavailability during specific times, please reach out as my schedule may vary.
