I always aim to make pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved as possible while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home for drop-ins, walks, or sitting visits, I do my best to stick closely to their normal routine so they can feel relaxed and secure in their familiar environment. As a newly graduated veterinarian, your pets safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages and personalities, including puppies/kittens, anxious animals, senior pets, and those with medical needs. I’m also trained to recognize subtle signs of stress or illness, which gives many owners extra peace of mind when trusting someone with their furry family member. For dogs, I priority safe walks, secure leashing/harnessing, hydration, enrichment, and lots of positive attention. For cats, I understand the importance of patience, calm energy, and respecting each cat’s individual comfort level. I know how nerve-wracking it can feel leaving your pet with someone new, so communication is huge for me. You can always expect regular updates, photos, and honesty throughout my visits. My goal is not only for your pets to be well cared for, but genuinely excited to see me again!

Depending on your pets needs, I will accommodate fun activities! If your pet is more laid back, I will accommodate play sessions that don’t require high energy. For those who are highly energetic, I will provide enrichment games, and lots of fun walks in the neighbourhood with toys and treats.

Hi there! My name is Janis, and I am a newly graduated veterinarian. I have had a lifelong love for animals and years of practical hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I am currently offering dog walking, dog sitting, and pet care services with a very flexible schedule before I begin full time veterinary work at the end of July. Thanks to my extensive veterinary training and clinical experience, I am comfortable caring for pets with medical needs, administering medications, monitoring senior pets, and helping anxious animals feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet loves long walks, a shorter stroll, playtime and enrichment, cuddles on the couch, or just a calm reassuring presence, I tailor my care to what makes them happiest. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your animal. I’ll always treat your pets like they’re my own, and keep you updated with plenty of photos and communication while they’re in my care! Id love to meet you and your furry family members!

Janis is a born animal lover and a trained Doctor of Veterinary Medicine…what more could you want for someone who cares for your precious fur baby?! I feel so grateful that our 6 year old Cavapoo was in her care while we travelled overseas. During this time, she needed to give my already anxious dog medication and walk her in an unfamiliar environment.
