Pets are family!
I’ve always been an animal lover and had dogs thru my growing years. As friends, family and neighbors knew, they often would request I take care of their furry family when they went out of town, I suppose it was because they knew I would treat them w the love and care they do. I’ve pet sat many animals, including bunnies, birds, fish, iguanas and of course cats and dogs. I love all kind of animals and they tend to gravitate towards me as well! I have experience with taking care of senior dogs, pets with special needs and care and energetic puppies.

When I pet sit, I make it a priority to follow your family’s routine as best as possible, and follow what your family’s instructions/house rules may be. One guaranteed thing will be that if I’m taking care of your pet, I will try to make myself most available to spend time with your pet and that they will be treated like family

Janis is wonderful! She took amazing care of our home and our beloved dog and cat. It’s obvious how much she loves animals and deeply cares about doing her very best. This was our first time with Janis and hope to have her back many more times.
Janis is absolutely fantastic. She was prompt and clear in all of her communication, and the photos she sent of the kitties were fantastic. They clearly warmed up to her quickly when she was stopping by. We'll definitely book her again!
Janis was an absolutely amazing sitter for our cat Val while we were gone for a week. So grateful for her love and care for our baby, really put our minds at ease!
Janis is wonderful!! The cats love her and she’s been able to give my elderly cat his meds, so that’s a huge help and removes a lot of stress while traveling.

Schedule
I have a full time job in downtown DC but have a flexible schedule and love being as active as any young pet needs or are mellow as a senior one may require. I have a car and can be available to do morning, mid day and evening walks or feedings

- Let me know if your dog’s favorite thing to do, their activity level/preference, their sleeping arrangement and their routine. I love to give cuddles and belly rubs - but if your pet is not into that, that’s okay! Diet and any special needs and instructions is also important!
