I've been around dogs my whole life and have experience caring for all kinds of dogs—big and small, puppies, adults, and seniors. Every dog has a unique personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one comfortable and happy. While I'm not a certified trainer, I have the patience and consistency to reinforce basic commands and good leash manners when requested. Safety is always my top priority, and I'll treat your dog with the same care, attention, and respect I would give my own. I'm dependable, friendly, and committed to providing a positive experience for both you and your pet. Whether your dog loves long walks, needs a slower pace, or just enjoys extra attention and affection, I'll make sure they receive the care they deserve.

I understand that every pet has its own routine, personality, and needs, and I do my best to keep them comfortable by following their normal schedule as closely as possible. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my home or in a client's home, I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, fresh water, and any specific care instructions provided by their owner. I have an 8-year-old Husky who has been part of our family since he was just 2 months old. He's truly another member of our family, and that's how I believe pets should be treated. For the past two years, we've also cared for a family friend's dog almost every weekend. She requires daily medication, and I make sure she receives each dose exactly as prescribed. That experience has reinforced the importance of consistency, patience, and paying close attention to each pet's individual needs. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away.

Janis has made me feel comfortable leaving my dog in her care for the last 3 years while I’m at work. I know Harper is well taken care of and meds given when Janis is there for her. She is still her happy go lucky, psychotic energized lab self when I get her back.

Schedule
Right now, I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day, every day, which allows me to accommodate a variety of walking times and last-minute requests. Once the school year begins, I'll be substitute teaching in the local school district. My availability will become a bit less flexible from day to day, but I'll still be available for dog walks and pet care outside of school hours, on days I'm not substituting, and on weekends. I'll always keep my Rover calendar up to date so you know exactly when I'm available.
