Animal Lover (PhD Animal Welfare)
I am and have always been an animal lover. Animals are an essential part of my life. I have been working in animal rehabilitation centres, sanctuaries and as vet assistant since I have been allowed to do so (literally). I have a Masters in Animal Behaviour, a PhD in Animal Welfare and training in animal care. I have experience with more complex pet behaviours due to my backrgound and I have taken care of pets for years. Due to my work (and requirements for travel) I very sadly cannot have my own pets, so I always jump to any opportunity to spend some time with some lovely fluffy animals :) My partner also loves animals, has a similar background to me and takes care of the animals with me. In some cases, because of work requirements, and after being communicated with the owner, he might be the one picking up/walking them.

Janir took Ozzy at short notice which so grateful for. I was nervous about leaving him, but I immediately felt at ease by warmth and good vibes. Janire looked after our elderly cat whilst we were away. I would highly recommend her, she was excellent - very diligent and kind with great communication throughout. she kindly helped us with some house issues that unexpectedly occurred whilst we were away too which we were very grateful for.
Janire looked after our toy cavapoo Xena for three nights and we’re always worried about leaving her. However, Janire made Xena feel very comfortable and adapted to her needs perfectly. We received regular updates and would highly recommend Janire. She was fantastic all round.
Rev had a great day with Janire. I was updated with pics and messages throughout the day. Would definitely love Janire to help with Rev again sometime.

Schedule
I work remotely and so I have quite a lot of flexibility when in comes to when I can walk dogs and take care of them while at home. I like leaving the house for a walk (with or without your furry friend) early morning and love a night walk before bed. But overall, flexible and any excuse to leave the house is welcome! House sitting and boarding: If your pet needs additional care and/or cannot be left alone for at least an hour (e.g, time I would need for grocery shopping, gym) I might add an additional fee that we can discuss previously by text or during the Meet & Greet. This especially applies for longer bookings.

Boarding: The house is organized in a way that I can always take care of other friend's pets, both dogs and cats. House sitting: I would like to know for the limits they have for their pet (are they allowed in the bed, sofa, all rooms), as well as limit for myself (e.g., can I stay in the kitchen/living room?).
A typical day
My day normally starts with an early walk around the area, where there quite a few parks. I like to let the dogs explore as much as they want, smell, and play if they are interested. I normally repeat this in the afternoon and at night. While I’m in the house I always try to keep them entertained with interactive games. I do not accept more than one animal (dog or cat) at the same time unless they already know and are confortable with each other.

- I will ask for any special needs such as medication, fears or behaviours I look out for, as well as places, toys, breeds I should be careful with in case they tend of be aggressive/scared of them.
