I’ve been caring for animals for more than 10 years, from my own dogs to pets belonging to friends, family, neighbors, and Rover clients. I’ve raised dogs from puppyhood and have experience with puppies, seniors, large breeds, high-energy dogs, and pets with different personalities and care needs. As a personal trainer and lifelong athlete, I’m especially comfortable with active dogs who need more than a quick trip outside. I’m happy to provide a good walk, playtime, enrichment, or simply some extra attention depending on what your pet needs that day. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and following detailed care instructions. Most importantly, I understand that every animal is different. I’ll follow the routine, boundaries, and preferences that help your pet feel safe and comfortable.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I’ll follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, doors/gates, interactions with other animals, and any household routines. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, including large and energetic breeds. I won’t introduce your pet to unfamiliar dogs, take them somewhere new, or transport them without your permission. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos so you know how things are going while you’re away.

I am so thankful to have found Janira! I am a pet sitter as well and rarely ever do I trust leaving my own pup with anyone. However, Janira gave me such peace of mind and sent me so many pictures when she watched my corgi, Sophie. I loved the updates and she went out of her way to really make me feel at ease. Her dog Manchego is so well behaved and Sophie had such a great time with her in their dog park!
Janira is very friendly and very good with animals. She has watched our dog multiple times and we trust her fully with our dog and she will be great on rover.

Schedule
I work in personal training and coaching, which gives me a flexible schedule that varies throughout the week. I often have availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, and between client sessions. Because my schedule can change from day to day, feel free to reach out even for same-day care. If I’m available during the time you need, I’m happy to help!

And tell me the fun stuff too, favorite treats, toys, games, hiding spots, or the fastest way to become their new best friend!
