Hi there and thanks for checking out my profile ☺️🗣️: EN, NL, DE & ES ABOUT ME 👩🏽 German living in AMS for 8 years. 🐎I really love animals and it makes me happy to be around them! Since I am 5 years old, I have been horse back riding and spent my weekends on the farm with horses, goats, cats and dogs. 🐈⬛When I was 15, we adopted our black cat Mocca from Spain - she is still living with my mum in Germany. 🐶 3 years ago, we started taking in foster dogs from other European countries and cared for them until they found their forever home. One day, I would love to have a dog of my own as it makes life so much better, but I am still travelling quite frequently, so it wouldn’t be fair to the animal at this stage. To compensate ;), I’d love to take care of your dog or cat, pet them, play with them, go on nice walks and just have a great time together! Right now, there is no other animal living with us. OUR APARTMENT 🏠 ⚠️⚠️We live in West on the 2nd floor with typical steep & rather narrow, dutch stairs. Small dogs (<10kg) I can carry, a bit heavier breeds will be difficult unfortunately, so they should be able to come up themselves. ⚠️⚠️ We have a nice, small apartment with 2 rooms, a doggy bed, a comfy couch, fans, cooling mats and dog toys. We also have a crate (big enough for a medium sized dog) with blankets and pillows if needed; to provide a safe space for our little guests if required. All pets can roam around freely as they please and are also allowed on the furniture if you agree with it. I live with my boyfriend who also really loves animals and grew up with dogs as well. Obviously, I will be responsible to take care of our furry guests and do all the tasks as discussed. We have 2 parks in close walking distance: Vondelpark which provides a lot of beautiful walking routes and a small park at Frederik Hendrikplantsoen with an enclosed dog area for lots of social interaction with other dogs from the neighbourhood. WHAT I CAN OFFER 📋 I am working full-time again: usually 3 days/week office based and 2 days from home. I only accept requests when I know that I will have enough time for the dogs. I want to make sure that I can provide at least 3 walks a day (anything between 20-60min, sometimes even 4 - incl a small pee break before bed, but depending on your pet's needs), feeding times as agreed on and of course time to play and cuddle. Happy to send you as many pictures and videos as you like during their stay, so you stay updated and don’t have to worry :) Request 💌 Preferably only house trained (potty trained) dogs please (unless as discussed otherwise beforehand). Happy to receive your request with as much info as possible, i.e. walking and feeding schedule, any known allergies or other important things I need to watch out for, how do they get along with other dogs, can they be left alone and for how long max, and in general what do they like / dislike. That way I can make sure that they have the best and most comfy stay with me until you are back!

Janina was incredible with our dog. She sometimes suffers from a bit of separation anxiety, but was so calm and relaxed with Janina. Janina sent lots of updates during the stay, including some hilarious ones, which really showed that they were enjoying each other. Would love for Janina to look after our dog in future.
Janina was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs, Kublai and Reya. This was the first time in almost two years that I had left them with a sitter, and because one of my dogs has special medical needs, I was understandably quite anxious. From the very beginning, Janina was incredibly professional, reassuring, and caring, which immediately put me at ease. She kept me updated regularly with messages and photos, and those updates made such a difference while we were away. It was clear that both dogs were happy, comfortable, and receiving lots of love and attention. She also handled Kublai’s medication exactly as instructed and made sure both dogs got the right amount of exercise and care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Janina to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and knowledgeable dog sitter. We’ll definitely be booking with her again. Janina took great care of my little ones. They were happy and content to cuddle with her all day.
Janina took amazing care of my dog and sent plenty of updates and photos/videos. I knew my dog was in wonderful hands, and every video showed her wagging her tail and enjoying her many walks and cuddles. I will be booking again the next time I need a sitter.
Janina was great for Benji! She has toys and a place for him to lay down and was super respectful of the rules we have (no couch and no pulling on the leash). We also got regular updates of the great time they were having :)

Schedule
I am relatively flexible with my work and can work partially from home. I love the doggy walks as they are also a break for me during my work day. I am happy to spend time with the animals and make sure that they are happy and feel loved!

Safety, trust & environment
We have a crate that we can set up in case it’s necessary, but the dog is free to roam the apartment and will not be crated unless discussed as such. The couch is right next to the window looking onto Kinkerstraat which a lot of doggies seem to enjoy very much and watch what’s going on outside. We have a few dog mats and blankets (or for the kitty :) to distribute throughout the house so they can sit comfortably in whichever room they prefer. There will always be fresh water available and food as agreed on.
A typical day
We start our morning between 8-9h with a nice walk to the dog park - depending on the dog’s need we can play with the other dogs, do some exercise or just go for a chilled walk. This can be anything between 15 & 30 min. Between 12-14h it’s time for a longer lunch walk around the neighbourhood or Vondelpark. This takes me usually 30-60min. We can also go for just 30 min and have some play time - again really dependant on what we discussed and what the doggies need. In the evening, I am more flexible and can go for longer walks. My last foster dog really loved to play with other dogs so we spend easily half an hour at the dog park and then walked for min another half hour. Just let me know about your dogs needs and wishes and I am sure I can make it work!
