I am a full-time stay-at-home mom, and my children are grown, so I have plenty of time to devote to your furry family member. Your dog will be free to roam around my home and fenced backyard and can play and run around with my dog. We take a potty break every 4 hours either in the backyard or outside when we are on a walk.

Information Janie L. would like to know about your pet
I take care of small-size breeds up to 20lbs to ensure that no pups get stepped on or run over during a play. Therefore I like to keep pups under my care in the same size group. I accept only neutered/spayed dogs and require up-to-date vaccination records (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella). Before booking, please let me know: • Feeding & potty schedule • Energy level and temperament (with people and other dogs) • Any medical conditions or allergies • If your dog is house-trained • Any chewing or marking behaviors • If they use pee pads or diapers • Flea/tick prevention status Cleanliness & House Rules I strive to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for all guests, I appreciate dogs arriving clean and well-groomed whenever possible. After walks and potty breaks, I wipe paws and clean up dogs as needed since all guests share the living spaces inside my home. My guest dogs are treated like family and are welcome on the furniture and throughout the house. Because of this, honest communication about your dog’s house-training habits is greatly appreciated. If your dog is still working on house training, has occasional accidents, or tends to mark indoors, please let me know beforehand. There is absolutely no judgment—every dog is unique. I simply want to be prepared so I can provide the best experience for your pup and maintain a comfortable environment for all guests. In these situations, I may ask that you provide diapers or a belly band during your dog’s stay.
A typical day
I take them out to the backyard to do their business and play fetch with them. I enjoy sitting in the backyard and watch them playing and chasing. I always make sure they are fed and drinking water is clean and filled. I feed them healthy treats and snacks such as plain yogurt, apples, blueberries, carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, etc. We also play tug of war, scavenger hunts, and fetch in the house. Daily belly rub is a must :-)

Pet care experience
Hosting services tor small breed dogs I provide home-style boarding for small dogs under 20 pounds. In most cases, I only care for one to two guest dog at a time, and under special circumstances, never more than three. I believe the foundation of great dog care is kindness, love, and patience, with safety always being the top priority. I've done extensive research on canine care to ensure I'm fully prepared to provide a healthy and supportive environment. I focus on meeting each dog's individual needs, including proper nutrition, regular exercise, mental stimulation, and following the care routines provided by their owners to support their overall well-being. Dogs thrive on attention and connection, so when your dog is in my care, I make sure they receive the love, engagement, and reassurance they deserve to feel comfortable and happy. Your dog will receive dedicated attention, companionship, and a safe, calm, stable environment throughout their stay. As a Rover customer myself, I understand how important communication is. Being away from your pet can feel stressful, especially without updates. That's why I provide daily updates with photos and videos, so you can relax and enjoy your time away with peace of mind knowing your pup is in good hands.
Reviews

Janie did a phenomenal job watching our anxious elderly dog. She accommodated his needs well and was super understanding and patient with him and they really bonded over the 3 days. At the end, it seemed like he didn't want to leave! We will be booking Janie again.

Janie was great with our senior dog who is very anxious. Janie went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable for the day. She sat with him, let him explore, and gave him a lot of attention. She was very thoughtful with her questions in order to really understand his needs and updated us throughout the day. We will definitely book with her again.

This is by far Melo’s favorite sitter. She goes above and beyond every time.

Doggie was happy with Janie the past three days. Came home well fed, exercised, and taken care of. Nice outdoor space for bathroom breaks and play time.
