What sets me apart is the level of care, patience, and attention I give every pet. I've cared for pets much larger than myself and am comfortable handling dogs of all sizes. I have experience giving medications, following detailed care instructions, and making sure each pet's individual needs are met. I'm also experienced with reactive dogs, as well as anxious dogs and cats. I understand the importance of staying calm, reading body language, and creating a safe, low-stress environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure. Communication is a priority for me, so I provide regular updates and photos to keep pet parents informed while they're away. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and well cared for, while giving owners peace of mind knowing their furry family member is in good hands.

Safety, trust & environment
For the comfort and safety of pets, I primarily provide care in the client’s home. This helps pets stay in their familiar environment and reduces stress, especially for dogs that may be anxious or reactive. I do live in a back house where the property owners have three small dogs, so for safety and to ensure a calm environment, I prefer not to introduce new dogs into that space. I am open to cat boarding on a case-by-case basis. I also have a strictly indoor cat in my home who is well-adjusted and calm around other animals. I am available for overnight stays and in-home care, and I always prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and routine while following owner instructions closely.

Janice has been taking care of my dogs and cats for over 3 years, and she is absolutely amazing. She used to care for my beloved dog Cow before he passed away, and I’m so grateful for the love and attention she gave him. As an elderly lady, I’m not able to walk my dogs myself, and Janice has been such a blessing. She takes them on long walks even up to 2 hours and I’m always amazed at how she keeps up with my energetic pups! She is also wonderful with my cat Simba. Simba is very skittish and usually nervous around people, so it amazes me how much he trusts and loves Janice. She has a special way with animals, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring, reliable, and truly passionate about pets.
Janice did a great job taking care of my dog, Mei-Mei, when I was out of town. She followed instructions well and kept my dog fed, watered, and walked regularly. I wouldn't hesitate to use Janice again if I needed to be out of town. I loved the updates and pictures during check-ins.
Janice has gone above and beyond taking care of my cat Bisco. Following my instructions and providing Bisco with the sensitive care he needs. Was also very courteous and respectful of my home.
We had a wonderful experience with our sitter! They took excellent care of our cat, Pumpkin, and made sure she was happy, comfortable, and well looked after while we were away. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos—they gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that Pumpkin was in caring, capable hands. We came home to a happy cat and everything in great shape. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter!
I highly recommend Janice for pet sitting! She took amazing care of my two fur babies over Fourth of July weekend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was incredibly thorough, sent thoughtful updates throughout the stay, and included lots of great pictures that gave me peace of mind while I was away. She is so kind and caring, and I was especially impressed that one of my cats, who is usually very selective about people, warmed up to her so quickly. It was clear they were both comfortable and well cared for. I will definitely be booking with Janice again in the future!

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I am fully available during the summer months (June through August), which allows me to provide flexible scheduling for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and overnight stays. During the school year, I work in a school-based setting, so I am available in the evenings and most weekends. I am also fully available during school holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas. I enjoy spending time with animals and make sure every pet receives attentive, reliable care, exercise, and affection.
