I have an enclosed garden which is fully fenced/ brick wall. The garden is very secure. I live in a semi detached bungalow so there are no stairs to climb. I have lots of toys for your dogs to play with. I am available to look after them in their own home or at my home. I am retired so I am around all the time to look after your dogs. I prefer to look after small dogs but will look after medium sized dogs as long as they walk well on the lead as I walk with a crutch so can't manage to walk large dogs who pull or lunge too strongly when they react to other dogs. I do not look after large dogs for safety reasons.

Please let me know if your dog/cat has any special needs or is on any medication, has any dietary requirements and what their likes and dislikes are. If you could tell me how they behave around other animals and people please, it would also help to know their temperament, if they have any trigger points and any training/ commands so that I can keep their routine as consistent as possible. I will make sure your pet's stay is as comfortable and happy as possible and will treat your pet as if it was my own.
A typical day
First thing in the morning I feed the dogs breakfast. I walk the dogs at least twice a day, once mid morning then again mid afternoon or early evening. I let the dogs out on the garden frequently so they can play and have toilet breaks. I play with the dogs using the toys I have or with their toys that they've brought with them. We have lots of time for cuddles and quiet time. I try to follow their routine as much as possible. The dogs are allowed on the sofa and if they won't settle at night they are allowed on the bed. I don't leave your dog on their own at all, I am retired so can be around all day every day. Whether it be playtime, walks or quiet companionship, I make sure every visit leaves your pet happy and stress-free. I aim to provide a calm, loving environment for your pet. I provide updates and photos daily so you can see what your dog/cat is doing.

I grew up with dogs in our household and for the last 20 years I've had my own dogs but lost my last one, Sanza, a Toy Poodle, in June 2025. I dog sit two Dachshund sisters aged 15 regularly and enjoy it very much. I love dogs and would treat your dogs as if they were my own. Your pet's comfort, happiness and safety is my priority. I have experience of giving medication via injection as my dog was diabetic and had to have insulin injections twice a day as well as oral medication. I also have experience of looking after senior dogs as I have cared for dogs who are 14 and 15 years old. I am available to look after your dogs in my home or at your home so they have as little disruption to their routine as possible.

Janice is a lovely person who was kind enough to keep us up to date with Jack's behaviour and photos too. Jack is still a bit complex while learning new ways as a recent rescue and Janice was very accommodating of that fact, and where possible, adhered to what we are trying to achieve to assist us.
Absolutely outstanding dog sitter. Diego was so well looked after and cared for throughout. I received constant messages, photos and videos which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. You can genuinely see the love and attention given to him, and I could not have wished for a better person to look after my dog. Highly recommended and I would not hesitate to use again.
