Animals are my passion and I have worked in the pet industry for awhile now. I’ve worked in pet retail, doggie daycare, pet grooming and have grown up loving animals. I have knowledge on pet body language, nutrition, and behaviour. While working in the pet care industry I’ve done it all from managing a room of 20-30 high energy dogs at once, to giving a more nervous/shy dog a bit of 1-on-1 time, to administering medication, and cleaning up any messes along the way.

Oreo and Oslo recently stayed with Janice for almost two weeks, and they had a wonderful time. She kept me updated every day with photos, videos, and messages, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. The dogs came home happy, clean, fluffy, and clearly very well cared for, despite the rainy weather during their stay. I could tell they received lots of attention and affection. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Janice again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!
Janice took wonderful care of my dogs Oreo and Oslo. This wasn’t our first time with her and it’s always reassuring to know they’re in such good hands. She sent plenty of photos and daily updates, including helpful end of day summaries that let me know how their day went and that everything was going well. Despite some muddy rainy weather while I was away, both dogs came home clean and happy. Oslo even seemed reluctant to get into the car when I picked him up - always a good sign! When my return travel was disrupted by flight delays, Janice was also very accommodating and kindly kept them an extra night. Overall a great experience. I’m grateful for the care and peace of mind Janice provides.
Janice watched our dog for just over a week, and she was fantastic. She was very flexible to have a meet and greet before to make sure she would be comfortable with our large Rottweiler. He took to her right away and everything was a great fit. During the time that she watched him, she provided many pictures during the day, which is great to see what they are up to. Her end of day summary was very thorough and appreciated. Overall, I was very happy with how she looked after Loki and all the stuff she did with him. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Janice again to watch my dog. She was great!!!
Awesome experience with Janice. She was prompt with messages and we felt comfortable with Coulson staying there. She sent us daily updates and photos. Looking forward to Coulson's next sleepover!
Janice took wonderful care of Oreo and Oslo while we were away for the week. From the daily updates to the genuine affection she showed them, it was clear they were in great hands. She was attentive to their individual needs—Oreo can be a bit more reserved while Oslo is full of energy—and managed both personalities with ease. They came home happy, well-exercised, and clearly loved. I really appreciated her communication and the peace of mind she gave me while I was gone. I would absolutely book with Janice again!
I am always happy to leave Rory with Janice. He had an absolutely blast playing and getting cuddled. Janice goes above and beyond from providing lots of photos and updates to getting special treats for Rory. I will use Janice again!

Schedule
My job schedule is consistent so when your pet is staying with me, they will have all the attention they may need and the day will be centred around caring for them, exercise, and mental stimulation.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a tall fenced backyard that’s been pet-proofed. I’ve got lots of enrichment items such as sniffle mats, lick mats, cat towers, toys, puzzles, etc. I also live in a quieter neighbourhood. I am happy to do crating accommodations as well as free-roaming accommodations for bedtime and really try to replicate the routine you may have for your pet. I have pet gates available to use and section off parts of the area you don’t want your pet to have access to. I also have many dog parks close to me that I can bring your dog(s) to if your dog is okay with that and with the owners permission. I also lead an active enough lifestyle and would be happy to bring your dog as a hiking pal if owners would like that.

A typical day
If the weather permits there’ll typically be a lot of outside time in the yard, just lounging away on a nice elevated bed. Perhaps a nice trail or hike. I also like to mentally stimulate the pets so I have lots of enrichment options.
