Happy dog house in the beach
Hi, I'm Janice and I offer overnight boarding and on-leash walks around the Beach. I have a super friendly Chocolate Lab (Hugo) who is the perfect dog host as he gets along with every dog he meets. I've been walking and boarding dogs for many years and have looked after all sizes of dogs including from very young pups to sweet old timers. I've taken a dog first-aid course and have read many dog behaviour books that I apply to keep the dogs happy and engaged. All the dogs in my house are important to me and I do everything possible to keep them happy. Just look through the photo album and you will see that your dog will love it here! Boarding: Boarding your pup here will be as close as possible to their normal routine and they will have both human and canine companionship in my clean and comfy home. I have a fully enclosed backyard so they can play safely outside. I have dog beds on each floor and the dogs sleep in the same room as I do. And I have a host of enrichment toys to help keep them occupied. Don’t worry about missing your pup as I will send you pics so you can see how much fun your dog is having. And you' can get back to enjoying your trip without worry. Walking: I offer on-leash walks around the neighbourhood with a maximum of 2 dogs at a time. I will want to know all the quirks of your dog so I can anticipate issues and avoid any problems. For all services: I will want to meet you and your dog and ensure compatibility, so I will request a meet and greet prior to first booking whether that is for boarding or even just a walk.

A huge thank you to Janice and Hugo for their wonderful care of Beau while we were travelling recently. As usual, Janice took the time to thoroughly understand Beau’s meal routine as well as his medications and exercise requirements. Janice sent wonderful daily updates and pics so we knew that Beau was happy and doing well. We did not worry for a single moment while Beau was in Janice’s care. And Hugo deserves an extra big cookie for sharing his home and his Mom! No hesitation in recommending Janice for short or long term visits - she is the best and we feel so lucky to have found her!
Big thanks to Janice and Hugo for looking after Beau recently. He gets great care - Janice is very attentive to his needs and provides a great environment to keep him active and rested. Janice provides lots of updates and pics so we always know that Beau is doing well in her care.

Absolutely incredible! This was our first time boarding Mia so needless to say we were nervous. During our meet n greet it became obvious that Mia and Hugo would become best friends and have fun in the backyard. Janice took amazing care of Hugh energy Mia with frequent walks and followed our directions re: feeding and medication to the T. She also provided frequent updates with pictures, which we really appreciated! Will definitely be reaching out again :)

Schedule
I work from home part time so have lots of time for the pups in my care. They will have a normal routine with lots of outside breaks and play time.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for your dog the same way I care for my own sweet pooch. And safety is my top priority; If your dog uses a harness, I use a double clasp leash so they are also attached on their regular collar so they can’t slip out of the harness. I use dog gates to keep the pups separated when I’m out and I have a Furbo dog camera so I can check in on them remotely. I have crates of all sizes if your dog prefers to be crated.
Pets
A typical day
We will go on walks to the Boardwalk, Ashbridges Bay or Glen Manor Ravine. There will be lots of playing with my dog Hugo and most likely some lazing around and catching some zzz's on comfy beds.
