Forest & Mountain Stream Adventures
We specialize in boarding small dogs, sensitive fur babies, and pooches with medical conditions. We take doggos up for the adventure on a 5K walk each day. Anxious dogs, who prefer their own space are easily accommodated in our large home & fenced yard. Your dog will have the run of the house, & sleep in our bedroom, just like at home! We typically host 1 to 2 furry guests at once to maintain a homey atmosphere where your pet can feel relaxed. My husband and I both spend our entire day with our dogs, giving your pet the attention they deserve. My 20+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse helps me provide quality care. If your dog prefers to join a pet lover's cat, smoke, child-free family over the chaos of a kennel this could be their home away from home!

Janice is very kind and our Stella pup was well cared for during the booked drop in visits. Janice provided many photos and update details for each visit. Janice communicated with us promptly when we had questions about our booking. We would definitely book with her again!

Janice was great. This was the first time we left Jack, our 10 month old mini Goldendoodle pup, alone so we were a bit aprensive. She came for 3 visits, over the course of the day, and took him for a really nice walk each time. She sent us pictures and and quick update after each visit. Jack was content and happy when we got home. He seemed to have had a great day. We will certainly ask Janice to watch him again and highly recommend her.

Janice was wonderful with my small dog, Buko! I am nervous leaving him with dogsitters typically because he is an anxious and sensitive dog. Janice took great care of my pup and sharing lots of photos and videos of him during their adventures. She reassured me that Buko was doing well because a tired dog (returning from a long hike) is a well-behaved dog! Definitely recommend :)
Janice was fabulous. Great to text with, prompt and very friendly. My dogs seemed to love her for their first walk with her. I got pictures along the walk, was told how many times they peed/pooped and saw their walk route. Would definitely try her again. Highly recommended. Great first experience

Schedule
We typically board one dog at a time so your pet will receive plenty of attention in a relaxed, family atmosphere. We also accept dogs in doggy daycare. There are usually one to two furry guests in our home, which has plenty of hiking trails for your pet to explore literally at its doorstep! Please note: Pickup and drop off services are available in Ladysmith only.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog will have the run of our house and access to a fully fenced yard on demand. Expansive floor to ceiling windows and a pet door provide entertaining views and outdoor access. Our home is located in a hiking heaven! Your dog will have the opportunity to join us on daily hikes if that suits their lifestyle and will be cared for in a cat/smoke/child-free environment. We are both dog lovers and offer a homey atmosphere where your pet can feel relaxed. We don't kennel dogs unless their pet parents tell us they prefer to sleep in a kennel. I spent many years as a Registered Nurse and in Infection Prevention and Control and am comfortable providing your pet with their special diet and any of their medications.

A typical day
We love to hike, with the dogs we care for, on the many mountain trails and a swim in the creek are just out our backdoor. Spending time with dogs in our fully fenced yard is a big part of our routine. If your dog prefers to join a pet lover's family over the chaos of a kennel this could be their home away from home.
