People call me Snow White lol
They call me that because once you start feeding squirrels, birds, stray cats, neighborhood dogs walking by, and maybe a raccoon & possum once or twice, like me, then you’ll start to befriend them. Soon after it’ll start to feel like animals are attracted to you (but it’s mostly because I give them food lol). I go by Janet and I love animals from feathery to furry. I have 4 birds, 7 cats and 1 turtle (all rescues). I know that with the proper care and instruction I can take care of any friend! New update from November 2025 - I’m back on Rover after a year-long hiatus and accepting new clients in the Chicago land area and northwest Indiana. 😊 My husband and I moved into a house with a spacious backyard in Lansing, Illinois. I’m open for arranging pick up and drop off as I do have a reliable transportation. Lastly, a meet and greet at my home would be ideal so your pup(s) can meet my husband, who will be there a majority of the time, and get a feel of where they will be staying. But rest assured I will be 100% responsible at all times for your pup(s) while under my care.

Janette was extremely good at giving updates throughout the day during daycare and boarding. She sent multiple pictures of my baby getting snuggles, going on car rides, adventures to the park, and getting special treats including pup cups. My Lilly was very well taken care of.
Janette was great with communication and sent multiple pictures, videos and provided regular updates. She took her on walks and outside for exercise multiple times that our Lilly really enjoyed.
Janette was really great with my dog who suffers from separation anxiety. She was always very patient and kind and I always felt like she truly cares. Even though my dogs nerves caused him to have accidents, Janette took it in stride and did her best to make him comfortable. She even introduced my dog to her cats, which he hasn't been around, and noted that he did extremely well around his new friends. I have no doubt that with more time, my dog will grow to love Jannette and will definitely use her again.
Janette was amazing! She took such good care of our dog and had great communication throughout our time working with her. She not only welcomed our pet into her home, she took our dog on multiple adventures to the park and kept us updated with lots of pictures. She was responsive and reliable. We would love to work with her again in the future!

Schedule
I currently work from home. I set my own schedule, so I’m available to work whenever I am needed including mornings and weekends. Preferably daytime and Fri - Sat date night evening.

I care for pets by making sure to thoroughly read care instructions and immediately contacting the owner by either call or txt if I have any questions. And most importantly by never letting them out of my sight!

A typical day
Fun activities I like to do with doggies includes hiking, playing with their favorite toys, giving them a massage, playing fetch, taking long walks to different neighborhoods.
