Relax! You can leave town with confidence your pup is in good care, and you'll see photo evidence each day. I know what it's like to leave your loved one in another home - I've transitioned from Rover client to Rover carer since my smart, sassy Chow/Australian Shepherd mix padded over the rainbow bridge at the grand age of 17.5 years (I am well versed in senior care). I grew up in England with tear-away Beagles, water-loving labradors, and the most extreme of cuddlers, Bernese Mountain Dogs. I can't wait to meet yours! Your pup(s) will get my undiluted, dedicated care. I only accept one client at a time and work from home. Week days we'll hang out together and take frequent walks to the Sculpture Park, Seattle Center, and other local parks. On weekends we'll go further afield, especially if you've an active one!

Janet was absolutely wonderful with Nico. She was communicative from the very beginning and consistently kept me updated, so I never once had to wonder how Nico was doing or whether everything was okay. One thing I truly appreciated was how attentive she was from our meet and greet. She asked about Nico’s medication right away, which told me that she takes caring for dogs seriously and wants to make sure she understands what they need before agreeing to watch them. She was also very upfront about any questions or concerns, which I really valued. Most importantly, I completely trusted her with Nico. Nico has a pretty specific personality, and I’m particular about who I leave her with. Janet clearly understands dogs and genuinely enjoys being around them, and I could tell she cared about Nico as an individual rather than just treating her like another dog she was sitting. I had zero concerns while Nico was with her, which was the biggest relief. I would absolutely have Janet watch Nico again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can genuinely trust with their dog.
Another wonderful stay! It’s always a mini vacation for Zella when she stays with Janet. We’re so appreciative of the adorable daily updates of Zella’s adventures around Seattle! :)

Schedule
I work from home with the occasional need for 2hour excursions for meetings etc. I love to walk Myrtle Edwards Trail, Olympic Sculpture Park and Seattle Center all of which are only a few blocks away. Weekend hiking is an option and if your dog likes water, we can go for a plunge in the lake!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a dog-friendly, highrise condo and your pup(s) will be my sole charge when they are in my care. We'll go for a minimum of three good (30-60min) walks a day (morning, noon and night) with a final pee break before bedtime. At weekends we might go for a longer romp/hike depending on weather and your dog's desires.
A typical day
This all depends on the character of your pup! We can play tug of war or hide & treat-seek at home, go to the park to play catch, or even have a dip in Puget Sound if they are water-lovers. If you are working on tricks or obedience we can practice to keep up the good work. Or if they're a sofa lover, we can simply chill and snuggle (or not if they like their own space!)
