Hi there! I’m currently the Development and Outreach Manager at Pet Friendly Services of Indiana, where I get to help pets and their people across the state every day by providing accessible and affordable spay/neuter. I previously served as the Executive Director of our local animal shelter, and before that I worked for 5 years at a high-volume spay/neuter veterinary clinic in Indianapolis. Altogether, I bring over 15 years of animal welfare experience. I hold a degree in Medical Anthropology from DePauw University, but my true passion has always been animals. I’d love the opportunity to care for yours! I can stop by your home to walk your dog, play with your pets, or provide drop-in care while you’re at work or away on vacation. While I’m not able to provide overnight stays, I’m happy to visit several times a day—including before bedtime—to make sure your pets are comfortable and your home is looked after. I have extensive experience handling dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m also skilled in administering medications and managing a wide variety of pet care needs. At home, I’m a busy mom to four dogs, two cats, and three children—so you can trust that I understand how important it is to keep your pets happy, healthy, and loved while you’re away. I am also pet CPR/first aid certified.

This was our 2nd time using Janet! So very grateful knowing our dog is being well taken care of while we are away! Love the cute little updated & pictures we receive. Janet definitely goes the extra mile in playing with your pet and giving amazing care & attention.
Janet was so good with our dog! During the initial meeting she immediately warmed right up to her and I knew I had nothing to worry about. As they always say dogs are a great judge of character. We received updated messages & pictures which always kept us feeling well informed our baby girl was being well taken care of. Definitely going to being requesting Janet’s services again.

Janet was great. She came out the day before for a meet and greet so that the dog would be familiar with her, which I really appreciated. Everything worked out as planned. I receive notification when she arrived, she sent pictures and received a notice when she was finished. I've already made plans to use her again. I'm lucky to have found somebody who genuinely enjoys pets as much as she does.
Janet did a great job with my dogs. She even played with my very senior Great Dane! Highly recommend.
