I’ve always had pets of my own and recently , over the past couple of years I’ve started taking care of my friends and neighbours pets when they either can’t because of ill health, holidays or work.

We recently booked through Rover for the first time for last minute boarding for our dog, Eddie, due to being let down by someone else. Contacted Janet based on location and was impressed with her speedy and polite responses. She agreed to take Eddie for the 3 nights but was away on the run up to this so we were unfortunately unable to arrange a meet and greet. Eddie travelled by car to her address (something he is not used to as we don't have a car) and he was extremely anxious when he arrived at her home. He seemed to be settling OK and Janet sent me photographs of him in her garden but then a couple of hours into the boarding Janet contacted me to advise that Eddie was not getting on with another dog in her care and she felt she had no option but to cancel the boarding. This was a surprise to us as Eddie has boarded with other dogs before and we have never had any issues, the only thing we can think is that it may have been linked to the anxiety he had on arrival. We had no choice but to collect Eddie the evening before going away byt we were able to arrange an alternative ourselves. Eddie then stayed elsewhere with another dog present and they were fine together. We have however updated our Rover profile to state future boarding must not have other dogs at the same time to avoid any reoccurrence. I have rated 3 stars as a neutral review as the boarding could not be completed.
Lovely sitter with prompt communication beforehand and throughout and keen to have a thorough handover for any specific instructions, which was nice and reassuring. The girls came back happy and tired, having enjoyed some time at the beach! Would happily use Janet again. Thank you
Janet looked after Rosie for a week in April. Rosie is a nervous dog but was at ease with Janet, who kept us up to date with photographs and videos of her stay.
I highly recommend Janet as a pet caregiver! She is responsible, always on time, reliable, loving, and truly cares for animals. My pets always feel safe and well taken care of in her care.
Great dog walker and sitter. She is very caring and knowledgable. She has been very patient with my Cocker Spaniel that can be a little anxious with some people. Janet is prompt, reliable and friendly with owners and pets.

Schedule
I work part time approximately 6-12 Mrs per week in education , my own timetable , so I have lots of spare time to take care of your pets. When I have pets I can skip some of my sessions.

I have a large enclosed garden and love spending time at home with friends , family and pets. I love close to beaches and countryside and love long walks.
Pets
A typical day
Breakfast then beach walk at 8 ish, then couple of hours at home for cuddles with dogs. After lunch doggie walk either field or local woodland. Relax at home early evening walk 4 or 6 ish
