Hi there! I'm Janet and finally back on Rover! I work from home and love being outdoors. I've been the go-to sitter for my friends and family members' pets for years and love all dogs and cats and pets generally. I have a 12-y-o rescue who loves other dogs, and I regularly care for dogs with special needs, high activity levels, and more.

Janet is so responsive and accommodating, and gives Hercules the safe, relaxing and fun days he loves. I get great photo and text updates, and can see how happy he is with her and Lola. Janet was communicative and intuitive when caring for my shy/anxious dog Finley. She allowed Finley the time he needed to establish trust which helped him settle into the new environment. Finley seemed right at home with Janet and Lola and enjoyed a few neighborhood walks! Janet even uploaded the walks into the Rover app and provided thorough updates throughout the day! I look forward to cooking with Janet again soon!
Our 10 month old dog is high energy, Janet (and her dog) handled our dog’s high energy with grace and flexibility. She’s great!
Janet did an amazing job taking care of my pup. She got lots of play time, walks, and love throughout her entire stay and I was always kept in the loop of how things went. She is great with dogs and I was able to leave knowing my dog was in really good care and came back to a very happy and worn out pup. Janet was timely, very communicative, and accommodating to my schedule. I would definitely love to keep booking Janet as a pet sitter!

Schedule
Because I work from home, I take lots of breaks to play with dog in the backyard. We go on long walks in the morning and evening and have a consistent, reliable (boring?) schedule in the evenings.

I love to pet, play with, and engage your dog on their own terms. If your pup wants space, that's ok too! I live in a house with a fenced backyard, and I also have a calm and dog-friendly (non-reactive) mixed breed rescue who makes other dogs feel welcome. I feed and provide snacks and medications following your instructions and have space to crate a dog indoors (though I do not own a crate).
Pets
A typical day
We'll wake up and play in the backyard or go for a walk (depending on the weather) before breakfast. Then, it's usually nap time while I work from home. At lunch, treats and more outdoor play, belly rubs and pets. We go to the park for a long walk or to the dog park after work and then it's dinner time followed by chew toys and cuddles.

- Please let me know your dog's routine, typical behaviours and habits. I need to know how much your dog eats and at what times, usually, as well as what medication they need and usual treats, dental chews, etc. How does your dog show affection and stress? What does your dog want in terms of attention? Does he normally go on walks? If so, how far? And does he play well with dogs at a dog park? Please confirm your dog is vaccinated and on flea treatment as well.
