Janelle is without a doubt the best pet sitter I have ever had! I found her when she was still working at my dog's vet and never looked back. My Maltese of 13 years was not an easy charge - he'd had some abuse/behavioral issues before I got him, and just generally enjoyed copping an attitude. Loved him dearly, but he'd been kicked out of two boarding facilities prior due to some aggressive tendencies towards other dogs when stressed. I was a relatively new transplant in the Atlanta area, so I didn't have any friends or family where he could go, but also have a job that requires relatively frequent travel so I was really at my wit's end before I found her. She has such a calming influence on dogs and a confidence with them - she transformed him into a new dog when he was with her, I honestly still can't believe it. He was (mostly lol) well behaved with her dogs, and he loved her so much. It was such a relief to be able to go out of town without that anxiety on my head anymore. She became a second dog mom to him, and his regular sitter for about 5 years, so much that when it was time for him to cross the rainbow bridge, she was there with us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Janelle to anyone!

When traveling, family had always kept my sweet dog. I was very anxious leaving her but knew that Janelle would take care of her. Regular pictures and updates eased my mind and showed that my dog was being treated as family. We will be using Janelle again soon.

We started working with Janelle in March 2024 after bringing home our toy poodle, Prince. Because we chose not to neuter him, many daycares and boarding facilities weren’t an option and vet boarding offered only basics; shelter, food, and potty breaks. Janelle has been a wonderful alternative. She provides individualized, compassionate care, welcomes Prince’s bed, toys, and bones so he stays comfortable, and gives him the opportunity to socialize with other dog. Her attention, communication, and obvious love for dogs have made every stay easy and stress-free for both Prince and us. We trust her completely and recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy care!

Ms. Janelle is GREAT!! We have had her take care of our Fur baby CoCo several times so that we can travel. CoCo is always excited to see Ms.Janelle! Her establishment is always clean, well lit and air conditioned. With a big fenced in yard, CoCo always gets play time outside in the fresh air. Already have her booked for two more stays this summer!

I have had the pleasure of working with Janelle since 2018. We first met at 'It’s a Dog’s Life' daycare during an initial assessment for my dog, Duke. Due to his size, Duke was placed in the large-dog play area, where he unfortunately struggled with anxiety and signs of distress, ultimately not passing the evaluation. At a time when I was in urgent need of reliable care, Janelle stepped in and offered her private services. She has been Duke’s dedicated sitter ever since. The most telling endorsement of Janelle’s work is Duke’s own reaction; his visible excitement whenever I mention her name gives me complete peace of mind!

I have been boarding my two large Goldendoodles with Janelle for the past two years, and I can't recommend her highly enough. Whenever I leave town, I have complete peace of mind knowing my dogs are receiving exceptional care, attention and love. Janelle regularly sends photos and updates of them playing in her beautiful, spacious yard - even splashing around in a kiddie pool! It's obvious that she treats every dog as if they were here own. Most recently, my 11-year-old doodle was still recovering from major surgery when I left him in Janelle's care. She went above and beyond by creating a detailed medication schedule to ensure he never missed a dose, even checked his temperature regularly to make sure he was healing well. When I picked him up 10 days later, he had made a remarkable recovery, thanks in large part to the attentive care and compassion she provided. Finding someone you trust with your beloved pets is incredibly difficult, but Janelle is truly one of a kind. She is dependable, knowledgeable (she previously worked at a veterinary hospital), and genuinely loves every animal she cares for. I recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for the very best care for their pets.

A typical day

I’m often asked, 'What does a day look like for the dogs you sit?' The answer: it’s pretty pawsome! 🐾 My goal is to make sure your pup leaves me happier and more tired than when they arrived. I love providing a mix of physical exercise and mental stimulation, including: ☀️ Sunny Pool Sessions for our water-loving friends. 🧼 Flavor-Filled Bubbles (the silliest, most fun enrichment!) 🚶 Walks Their Way: Individual attention or group fun, depending on what your dog loves most. 🧩 Puzzle Rugs: For those 'brain games' that keep pups calm, satisfied, and happy. If you’re looking for a sitter who goes the extra mile to make sure your best friend has a great time, let’s chat!

I always like to do a quick 'compatibility check' before booking. My main priority is that your pup feels completely safe and comfortable with me, so I’d love to know a little bit about their personality, any specific triggers they might have, and their favorite ways to play! This helps me customize the care I give them. The "Meet & Greet" Checklist Safety & Behavior (The Essentials)Aggression/Bite History: "Has the dog ever shown aggression toward humans or other dogs? (e.g., lunging, snapping, biting, or serious fights?)"Triggers: "Are there specific things that stress them out? (e.g., loud noises, thunderstorms, vacuums, delivery trucks, cyclists, people in uniform, etc.)"People/Visual Triggers: "Does the dog have any discomfort with specific types of people? (e.g., fear of men, people wearing hats, sunglasses, beards, or children?)"Shadow Chasing/Obsessive Behaviors: "Does the dog engage in any repetitive or obsessive behaviors like shadow chasing, tail chasing, or staring at lights?"Resource Guarding: "Does the dog ever guard their food, treats, toys, or sleeping areas?" Handling & ComfortTouch Sensitivity: "Does the dog have any 'no-touch' zones? (e.g., sensitive paws, dislikes having their tail or ears touched, hates being picked up?)"Leash Manners: "How do they handle walks? Do they pull, have reactivity toward other dogs on leash, or do they have a 'flight risk' (do they try to slip their collar/harness)?"Crate/Alone Time: "Are they crate trained? How long can they be left alone before they get anxious or destructive?" Fun & Enrichment (Tailoring the Fun)Food/Treat Motivation: "Are they food motivated? Do they have any allergies or dietary restrictions?"Play Style: "How do they play with other dogs? Are they a 'rough and tumble' wrestler, a 'chaser,' or do they prefer to just hang out nearby?"Daily Rhythm: "What is their 'happy place'? Do they love long walks, or do they prefer a calm couch cuddle?
