LOVE YOUR PET DOG DAY CARE/BOARDING

Are you looking for a clean, safe and loving home to keep your pet while you take your summer vacation, business trip or other event? Well I can provide all of this and much more for your pup:) My name is Janelle Kaiel and I'm the owner of "Love your Pet Dog Walking and Boarding. I have been with Rover for almost a year now. Over this year I have enjoyed taking care of the most incredible pups! Everything from Great Pyrenees to small Maltese pups. Why do I bring these dogs into my home and care for them as though they were my own? Because I love dogs! Dogs are fantastic, loving and loyal! In fact, I have had family dogs most of my life and I currently own a sweet 14 yr old golden named Misty that I rescued from a bad home environment. Before Misty, I had Molly whom I also rescued and she lived to the ripe old age of 15! And prior to Molly, Jasmine a brand new golden pup that I raised. Jasmine and I also spent 3 years as a K9 Search and Rescue team with Tualatin Valley Fire Dept where she learned to do urban search and rescue. It was so much fun watching her grow and learn these vital skills and she was fantastic at it! ABOUT ME: So a little about me; I have lived in my home for almost 15 years. I love the area and neighborhood and there is a great community park just down the street. I decided to become a dog sitter/walker after working as a Product Marketing Manger at Daimler Trucks for many years and then in Managed Health Care for about the last 4 years before deciding to make a big change and start this business with Rover. I have a BS degree from Portland State University. MY DOG SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS: I m very comfortable handling dogs of all breeds and sizes and although I'm not an official dog trainer (although that is a future goal of mine) I do have experience training my own dogs and am well versed in animal behavior. However, I will NOT accept dogs that are aggressive towards people or other dogs, including a serious food or toy aggression. This is so that I'm able to provide a safe and fun environment for your pups when they stay. Lots of playtime with other pups and lots of happy, tuckered out dogs by the end of their boarding stay or day-sit. Typically, I will sit for at least 3 dogs and no more than 4 over any given period with the exception that some dogs may overlap and some are either arriving that day or leaving. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT DURING YOUR DOG'S STAY: Expect your dog to be treated just like they would be at home! I will care for them, snuggle and cuddle them, walk and exercise them and supervise controlled play when there are other doggie guests. They get to sleep any where they want, furniture is fine or on my bed if there is room. However, if you prefer they sleep in a kennel or crate that is fine too. I will spoil them just a bit but not too much, I have to maintain my alpha status, don't want to be a push over. HaHa! I also, require vaccines to be up-to-date and flea/tick medication adhered to prior to visits. I am very happy to say that since I began this journey I have not had one flea touch any of my dogs and want to keep it that way for both your pets and mine:) You may also find Kristen my assistant helping out some days too. She is a great addition to the team and is wonderful with the animals. She is very interested in becoming a vet tech in the near future. SERVICES OFFERED: Overnight stays Day-sits- Per Dog (Single visit: $20; 5 pack: $90; 10 pack; $180; 20 pack: $360 - pack must be used within a 2 month period but sits do not need to be consecutive. 10% discount for multiple dogs) Walking ( I have some great pricing on walking membership packs! just ask me at our meet and greet) On some occasions and if I'm available I will do an over-night sit at your home or preferably I can come to your home to feed, and walk your dog while your away. RATES AND MEMBERSHIP PACKS: My pricing is very competitive and is average for the area. You can review my pricing on Rover. Again, I do offer walking and day-sit member-packs should you have an interest in these services. Finally, if you are planning a trip and are flying, I live really close to the airport. Just a few miles away from 205 so you can be there in minutes. A lot of my guests like to drop off their pup the night before so that they can head straight to airport if they have a morning flight and pick up is so easy after coming in from a flight so keep that in mind as a benefit as well:) MEET AND GREET: I look forward to hearing from you and scheduling our meet and greet. This gives us an opportunity to talk and get questions answered as well as see how our dogs get along. After that, if we are both comfortable with the match we can get the sit, overnight stay or walk scheduled. I look forward to serving the needs of your pups and will treat them all as if they were my own and I am happy to provide references. Thank your for viewing my profile! Woof! Janelle and Misty I love animals and over the years I have rescued two golden retrievers one of which is still with me and her name is Misty. She is 14 years old. I also raised my first golden from a pup. I have been a dog owner most of my life and have had experience with many different types of breeds, (e.g. doxy's, poodles, mixed breeds, cattle dogs, labs, boxers, goldens, chihuahua's, and many other breeds. I would welcome the opportunity to care for your pet while you are away. I will take care of your pet as though it was my own:) Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog owner most of my life. I currently own a golden retriever that I rescued from GoldenBond Rescue Org. Her name is Misty. Prior to that I rescued Molly her passed just this last October at great old age of 15! My first golden, Jasmine I raised as a pup. Meet my pets Misty - Golden Retriever 14 years old Very friendly with people and other dogs! About my yard See pictures of fully fenced back yard. Janelle was a great host! She sent us pictures throughout the weekend so we could see how Ziggy was doing. Ziggy had a great time!

Long overdue review for Janelle -- Benny has stayed overnight with her for many weekends over the past 2 years. We are so grateful for how much she cares for Benny as her own. He is always happy to arrive at her house + returns home in great shape. Thank you Janelle for everything + looking forward to working together for a long time to come !!

Janelle can host up to 2 walks per day
I prefer small to large breed dogs, that are good with other dogs and are not food or toy aggressive. I want to know if he/she is on medications, has any health issues, and if so should walks be limited, play time limited? I prefer dogs that are potty trained and are well mannered and if a puppy depending on age may raise price/night. Puppies are great to watch, but usually are more work because they require additional care and supervision. Most have a lot of energy and if they are large breed pups they will need more walks, play time and attention so that they are tuckered out at the end of the day:)
