I've had pets for my entire life. From cats to dogs, chickens to praying mantises. I've done cat-sitting for friends, including encouraging a problem eater and administering insulin shots. I'm good with dogs, using patient and gentle training techniques with my own animals. I only take one or 2 families at a time and if I already have a dog on my schedule, I'll match any others that I take that week in size and temperament.

Janell was simply awesome with my dogs during New Year’s Eve. My chihuahua mix panics with loud firework noise, and Janell gave her so much attention and care! I am so thankful for the constant updates I received throughout the day. This is not my first time boarding with Janell, and definitely will not be the last 😊
Janell is truly an angel and absolutely amazing with pets. She cared for my two pups, including a very senior dog who needed special attention. Janell took the time to meet with us beforehand to be sure it was a good fit, which immediately put me at ease. Throughout our time away, she went above and beyond with thoughtful daily updates and extra care, even noticing and tending to a sore when she realized my senior pup needed it. When we got home, my dogs barely seemed excited to see us, and it was clear how much they missed their routine with Janell! I am incredibly thankful we chose her, and I cannot recommend her services highly enough.
So happy I found Janell! My puppies loved the stay, and receiving updates and pictures was a confirmation of her kind caring. Will definitely bring my dogs back!

Schedule
I work from home except for a few hours on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, so your dog will never be without a potty break more than 4 hrs during the day. I have a teenager who does remote school, so there is almost always someone home and awake with your dog. I only do boarding and day care, so I'm not running all over town doing drop-ins and walks while your dog is at my house.

If your dog dislikes men, this is the perfect place for them. Just let me know and I'll make sure that they don't have any contact with any men dropping off or picking up dogs, delivery drivers, etc.
Pets
A typical day
When your dog is with us, they will be treated like part of our family, indoors when we are and out in our large fenced yard when we are there with them. I like to keep all dogs on my property, safely inside my fence, where I will spend hours outside with them, letting them play with each other under supervision, or throwing a ball for them to chase. In the summer we have a kiddie pool for the dogs to cool off in if they want to. We also like to throw balls or sticks for dogs to chase.
