I try to gather all information and questions via Rover to ensure that the dog is a right fit and I encourage dog owners to do the same to determine whether I am a fit for their pet.** . . Hello! My name is Jane and here at Piri's Place we strive to keep a calm and mellow environment where our guests can relax. We cater to small to medium sized dogs (up to 25 pounds) who are not aggressive and overly energetic. We take in dogs from 1 years of age, but please be mindful of their energy level as we cannot cater to dogs who need to exert their energy and like to play wrestle with other dogs. We also cannot cater to dogs to are prone to be overly excessive/uncontrollable barkers. All dogs who stay with us must be housebroken (including no marking habits) and be up to date with vaccinations and be on a tick/flea preventative. Some things about Piri's Place: 1. There is no need to bring bowls, beds, wipes, poop bags, blankets and toys -- we provide all of that here to make your drop off and pick up easier. All you really need to bring is dog food, leash, collar, medications & supplements (if applicable) and vaccination records. 2. Drop off times are between 8 am to 8 pm and pick up times are from 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. As mentioned above, please let me know your drop off and pick up times before your dog's stay begins and also an ETA on the day of the drop off/pick up. This helps me plan my day and get other guest dogs gated for their safety. Please don't ring the doorbell as it excites the dogs. Drop offs and pick ups happen at our front door/entryway. 3. All our guest dogs get filtered water and water bowls are washed every morning and refilled three times a day (or more if needed). Food bowls are washed after every meal. 4. Clients will receive updates every evening along with pictures via the Rover app. 5. We take up to 4 dogs at a time although we may take in more (or less) on a case by case basis. 6. We provide 24 hour supervision to guest dogs. 7. We're big on cleaning here and keeping the home clean. We do big sweeps {including washing dog toys, dog beds, blankets} before and after long stays and quick pick ups during stays as well. If your dog is staying for a long stay, please bathe them before they come. Thank you for your interest! We look forward to hearing from you!
Reviews
Jane is so good, and unflappable! Our 17 year old girl is deaf, almost blind (sees shadows we think), and declining into senility. When things change with her, like potty breaks more frequently, Jane just rolls with the flow! I cannot say enough kind things about her! We get daily updates with pictures too! We trust her implicitly!
Our girl is now 17. She’s deaf, almost blind, and has dementia.at this point she needs to go out every two hours. Jane is magical! She doesn’t bat an eye at Lucy’s changing needs. I cannot recommend her more highly. Daily updates and pics. What a dream Jane is!
Loki had another great stayacation with Jane. We appreciate receiving a detailed daily update from Jane and it means a lot knowing that she was in good hands while we were away.
Jane is the best! We use her so often, I feel I’m repeating myself! She sends great updates and pictures. Most importantly, she loves our dog likes she’s her own!I can’t say enough! Our old lady is closing in on 17. She’s just about blind and deaf, and Jane is amazing with her!

We have a fenced in backyard and also baby gates that block the entry way to the front door, which is always closed whenever the front door needs opening. The bottom and top of the stairs also have baby gates. We often keep our front door open so that dogs can people watch or sunbathe from the storm door - the storm door is always locked.

Information Jane Y. would like to know about your pet
If there is anything that I should know about your dog that may be normal to you but new to me, please let me know. Also, anything that may scare your pet (plastic bags, vacuum cleaner, etc.) and how they may react to it (will pee on the spot, under under the cough, etc.) will be helpful to know.
A typical day
Most of our guest dogs like to rest, cuddle and nap during their stay and we also cater to dogs who are quiet and mellow. Some dogs do like to play with dogs and so we build in time to play with them and play fetch too. We also go on two walks and a short bathroom break in the middle of the day.

Availability
I am always home and while we host guest dogs they will receive 24 hour care and supervision. My husband also works from home and he will available to look after them when I go on walks when we have multiple guest dogs staying with us.
