Pet care experience

Experienced, active dog sitter

I am privately insured and I am Dog and Cat First Aid Certified through the American Red Cross. I am also a foster volunteer at the Humane Society of Huron Valley. I love working with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. I especially love puppies and high-energy dogs - I'm great at getting them tired out by playing with toys, training, and running them around the yard. I am very patient with senior dogs, dogs with special needs, and dogs (and owners) who need time to warm up to strangers. Multiple pets are no problem - the more the merrier! I work from home so I am home all day except for short outings to run errands. If your dog stays for daycare or boarding, they will get lots of attention and play time! I'm very flexible and easy-going, so just let me know what you're looking for and I'll do my best to accommodate you. I live in a house with a fenced yard in a friendly, quiet neighborhood. I have a 6 y.o. mixed breed named Bowser who I raised from a puppy. I did intensive training with him to teach him all basic commands and good manners. He has an incredibly sweet temperament and has never met a dog he doesn't like. He also gets along well with my kitten, two rabbits, and bearded dragon. (The bunnies and cat have their own rooms and I keep the doors closed when other dogs are over.) Bowser is very sociable and loves to explore, play, and wrestle with other dogs.

Jane is extremely trustworthy and reliable. She's watched our dog a few times, but this time he unexpectedly had separation anxiety and a lot of GI issues. She told us exactly what was going on, took him to the vet, put us on speaker phone during the appointment, and communicated with us every time he took medication. I really can't speak highly enough about how well she handled what must have been a challenging week.

Jane took great care of Soya! She always sent pictures and Soya was so happy always playing or spending time outside with her dog Bowser. Bowser is well trained and good with puppies. Also felt extremely comfortable from the start. Jane immediately put a tracker on our pooch to make sure just in case she’d be traceable (nice peace of mind).

I work from home full-time so I can take most requests with at least a 1-day notice, including long-term bookings and short-term stays. I take Bowser out to potty four times a day but if I have a puppy over, we will go out more often.

I would like to know as much about your dog as possible so I can provide the best care and make sure they feel safe and are having fun. This includes your dog's energy level, activity interests, ability to socialize with people and other dogs, personality quirks, and any special needs. I am comfortable with dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes.
