My policy is to never let a dog out of my sight, even in a fenced yard. Pets can often behave unpredictably when separated from their owners. I focus on keeping them engaged through exercise and play tasks, providing plenty of distractions until your return. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities.

HARNESS REQUIRED FOR DOGS. For safety reasons, I require the dogs I watch to have a fitted harness or other alternative to the standard flat collar. Questions I will ask during a meet and greet: What routine is your pet accustomed to (e.g., mealtimes, energy/activity times, bathroom norms)? Does your dog have a return or release command, in case of emergency? What stresses pet? What excites them?

In addition to frequent walks, I love encouraging daily zoomies! I’ll play with them in the backyard, at their favorite nearby dog park, or engage with them indoors. Your dog will love being part of my pack while you're away.

This includes researching breed-specific needs and understanding any medical conditions to ensure I provide the best possible care. For both dogs and cats, I strive to stick as closely as possible to your routine, while adding a little extra love and exercise to help ease their anxiety while you’re away. Jane was a wonderful house guest. She treated our dogs like it was a Disney vacation. Sent loads of photos and kept us updated all weekend. She even took this call last minute. We were very thankful to keep our dogs in their home and not boarded. I would recommend Jane and will definitely be booking with her again!

Jane is great with my cat and very good at communicating while I’m away. She sends pictures regularly and gives updates so you’ll never have to guess or worry how your pet is doing. This is my third booking with her and I’m confident Prudence is well cared for when we are away.
